In 2006, Marvel Comics kicked off a line-wide event called Civil War. The story was unlike anything Marvel had ever published. Writer Mark Millar ditched the usual earth-shaking villainous schemes in favor of a topical, timely, and far more personal drama. The titular war was based on a moral divide between Marvel’s superheroes, in which both sides had a valid argument. Civil War was a quagmire of ideologies, where nothing was ever simple and principles propelled its participants down ever-slippier slopes....

Creed II cowriter Cheo Hodari Coker has offered some insight on the sequel’s plot and themes. The first Creed was a Rocky spinoff centered around Apollo Creed’s son, Adonis (Michael B. Jordan). Sylvester Stallone reprised his role as Rocky Balboa in the film, with Ryan Coogler directing from a script and story that he wrote, inspired by his own father’s love of the Rocky movies. Jordan and Stallone both came back for Creed II, but Coogler had to pass due to his commitment to Marvel’s Black Panther....

TikTok is testing a new tool with select users to provide distraction-free viewing on the platform. Confirmed to TechCrunch, the new feature is called “clear mode” and clears on-screen clutter like captions and buttons for users scrolling through content on the app. Twitter user Matt Navarra spotted the feature and shared screenshots. The screenshots show that when clear mode is on, users will no longer see usernames, captions, or audio information....

Blizzard is working busily away behind the scenes on Diablo, confirming that there are multiple projects in the series currently under development. This will come as good news for fans of the franchise, as it’s now been six years since the last entry in the series, Diablo 3, saw release. Some players had been expecting Blizzard to make some kind of announcement about the future of Diablo some time soon. The villains of the Bumblebee movie will have an extra trick in their arsenal. At the movie’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, director Travis Knight revealed that the evil power of the Decepticons will include a rare ability that will make things even harder for the hero. The eponymous Autobot will be on his own against a bunch of robots and people who want to take him apart. Chris Hemsworth has revealed he was disappointed at the end result of The Huntsman: Winter’s War. The fantasy action movie, in which Hemsworth played the titular hatchet-wielding forest warrior with charismatic swagger and a Scottish accent of varying credibility, was released in 2016 to a largely negative reception from critics and audiences. The character of the Huntsman originated in fairy tale adaptation Snow White and the Huntsman, in which Hemsworth starred alongside Kristen Stewart as the famous princess and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen....
