There are many people for whom the movie-going experience is as much a part of the holiday season as mistletoe and holly. It’s certainly one of the busiest times of the year for Hollywood, which schedules many of its biggest releases around Christmas. Television networks also plot their programming accordingly, with marathons of classic films like Love Actually and A Christmas Story running throughout the day. Still, there are some good folk out there who seek a change from the traditional holiday standards like It’s A Wonderful Life and White Christmas....

Update: Starfield finally announced at E3 2018! The latest rumor leading up to E3 2017 later next week has acclaimed video game publisher Bethesda Softworks prepping to announce a galactic RPG titled Starfield. Well known by now for such best-selling open-world action-adventure titles such as Skyrim and Fallout 4, the Rockville, Maryland based innovator has been among the top-performing names in games going on some 30-plus years now. While the studio and publisher has previously explored the post-apocalyptic world of the Fallout franchise as well as various sprawling fantasy realms featured in The Elder Scrolls series, Bethesda has yet to truly explore territory thoroughly grounded within the realm of the science-fiction genre....

Now that Gus Fring is officially on board for Better Call Saul season 3, the next question is whether any other Breaking Bad characters might show up on the hit AMC spinoff series. Most of the speculation about possible cameos centers naturally around Bryan Cranston’s Walter White, but Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman is another character many fans would love to see pop into Jimmy McGill’s world. Given that when Breaking Bad began neither White nor Pinkman had ever met Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman, Mike Ehrmantraut or any of the other major characters on Better Call Saul, shoehorning them into the new series might seem like a bit of a stretch....

Warning: SPOILERS for Aquaman #50 The latest issue of Aquaman has seen an unlikely alliance form between Black Manta and Lex Luthor. While Luthor has been recruiting many villains to his banner as part of DC Comics’s Year of the Villain event, it is surprising that he would approach Black Manta, with whom he had a falling out during a Justice League crossover event last year. On the surface, Lex Luthor and Black Manta would seem like natural allies....

Black Mirror’s season 4 trailer reveals all 6 episode titles for the season. There once was a time where the TV landscape was full of sci-fi and horror anthology series - such as classics like The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits - offering viewers a brand new story with new characters each time out. In more recent years though, the preferred style of genre anthology has changed to single stories being told over the course of individual seasons, thanks to shows like American Horror Story and Channel Zero....

Funko has unveiled its range of Blade Runner 2049 merchandise. The upcoming sequel, based on a script by Blade Runner’s Hampton Fancher and Logan’s Michael Green, and featuring direction by Sicario and Arrival’s Denis Villeneuve, is currently shrouded in an ‘insane’ level of secrecy. It is also known that Hans Zimmer is finishing the musical score for Blade Runner 2049, and that Villeneuve has been chatting about which version of Blade Runner he sees as canon....

With $165 million already in the bank and a Rotten Tomatoes score of 93%, Thor: Ragnarok is already one of Marvel’s biggest hits, proving their crowd-pleasing formula remains thoroughly intact. It’s one of the most outright comedic films Marvel has done yet, while adding that sense of oversized spectacle that fans have come to expect. Thor: Ragnarok is by far the best solo film for The God of Thunder, also featuring classic moments for recurring characters including Hulk, Loki, Heimdall, and Odin, while showcasing new characters like Cate Blanchett’s Hela and Tessa Thompson’s breakout role as Valkyrie....

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe enters into its slate of Phase 3 films, all eyes are cast on the impending outcome of Captain America: Civil War and its inevitable fallout in the MCU after Captain America and Iron Man go to “war” (with their supporters in tow). Ahead of the film’s U.S. theatrical release next week, positive critic reviews have been readily rolling in, thus setting the stage for Civil War to be an MCU event to rival the last Avengers film, Avengers: Age of Ultron....

Captain Marvel producer Jonathan Schwartz says the movie is structured differently than other superhero origin stories. Beginning with the original Iron Man in 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has typically introduced new superheroes by exploring their humble beginnings. Of course, the franchise started to buck tradition in Phase 3, when it introduced versions of T’Challa and Peter Parker who were already superheroes, ahead of their respective solo movies. That trend will continue with Captain Marvel, which adds a few twists to the tried and true superhero origin story formula....

In fact, the deadly end of the episode not only derails one of the budding subplots revolving around Shawshank prison guard Dennis Zalewski (played by Noel Fisher), but the plan for André Holland’s Henry Deaver to leave Castle Rock and return home....

Hot Toys and Star Wars are getting a blast from the past with a stunning sixth scale collectible figure that features Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. Made famous by Sir Alec Guinness in the original Star Wars trilogy, McGregor put on his own pair of robes to play a younger Kenobi and chart the fall of Anakin Skywalker. Everyone has their own thoughts on George Lucas’ prequel trilogy, but there is no denying that McGregor was one of the shining stars of Episodes I-III....

Apple’s AirTag item trackers have made a lot of headlines since their launch last April, for both good reasons and bad. Now, CTInsider reports that a man in Waterbury, Connecticut has been arrested after trying to use an AirTag to “track a victim’s car” as part of a “domestic incident.” The report explains that police were dispatched to a “reported domestic dispute” on Sunday. An investigator in the case then discovered an AirTag in the victim’s vehicle, which the victim said had bene placed there for stalking purposes....

CD Projekt RED, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077, has made an apology for a joke it made on the official Twitter account of the upcoming cyberpunk RPG. The joke in question, which was considered by some to be transphobic, has also been removed. Cyberpunk 2077 is the next project from the studio behind the acclaimed Witcher series of games, but it’s shaping up to be an entirely different experience from that trilogy....

With the second season of the popular Netflix Original Series based on the eponymous Marvel Comics character on the way, fans of the Daredevil show have been clambering for more information regarding where they can expect to see the blind, Hell’s Kitchen lawyer, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), go next. Following the release of the first teaser trailer and poster for the new series, and knowing full well that an epic stand off between Daredevil and The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is on the way, anticipation couldn’t be higher for the show ahead of its March 2016 release....

TMZ is reporting that actor David Ogden Stiers - know for his role on MASH and for voicing several Disney characters - has passed away at the age of 75 from bladder cancer. Stiers was born on Halloween in 1942 and grew up in Illinois, where one of his high school classmates was future renowned movie critic Roger Ebert. He moved to Oregon where he finished high school and briefly attended college before moving again, this time to San Francisco where he performed Shakespeare and joined the Actor’s Workshop....

Disney’s The Lion King 2019 images show off the remake’s human voice cast. The new live-action take on the iconic animated film is set to hit theaters this month, and so far, things are looking very promising for what will be Disney’s third live-action adaptation of 2019. The Lion King first arrived in theaters back in 1994, during a creative period often known as the Disney Renaissance, in which Disney returned to the production of animated films, producing critical hit after critical hit from 1989 to 1999....

The Walt Disney Company is seeking to buy back TV rights to the Star Wars films from Turner Broadcasting, who air the movies on their networks TBS and TNT, but Turner may not want to sell. Disney sold the rights to Turner in 2016 for a reported $275 million, in a deal that extends until 2024. The deal not only covers the original trilogy and the prequels, it also includes the newer Star Wars films beginning with 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens....

It’s the most wonderful time of the year: the time to stay indoors, curl up with a blanket, and watch cheesy Christmas movies on Netflix. There is something about the month of December that allows us permission to partake in things that bring joy. This includes all of the romantic and fun holiday movies the season has to offer. No longer is holiday watching limited to Hallmark, either. The channel that once dominated the winter months now has some competition from streaming sites....

Jesse Pinkman has yet to appear in the flesh during Better Call Saul, though the show may have already referenced him. While the prequel/spinoff deals with the pre-Breaking Bad exploits of one Jimmy McGill (who later becomes Saul Goodman), fans are always on the hunt for connections between Saul and its parent program. Ever since it aired, arguably the biggest question has been if Saul’s two most infamous clients, Walter White and Jesse, would make an appearance of any kind....

As another Call of Duty title nears its yearly launch, newly revealed Infinite Warfare has gotten a lot of criticism from developers as well as fans. Reports of low pre-order numbers, recently rebuffed by Activision themselves, have painted a bleak future for the first-person franchise as the competition in the genre grows with the announcements of Battlefield 1 and TitanFall 2 – and next week’s inevitable reveal of Destiny’s fourth expansion – that are set to launch alongside Infinite Warfare this holiday season....
