Deadpool 2 has reached a global box office milestone by cracking the list of the top 3 highest-grossing R-rated films. Starring Ryan Reynolds in his second solo outing as the irreverent Marvel superhero, Deadpool 2 was released in May with a mountain of expectations in front of it. Mainly, the film had to find a way to top the original with just as entertaining a story line, but just as daunting, it had task of trying to equal if not top the massive box office haul of the 2016 film....

The premise of Once Upon a Time is one that could - and should - have made for a truly enjoyable series: your favorite fairytale characters have come to life in the modern world. However, thanks to countless bad plotting choices, the repeated use of inane memory wipes, unsympathetic characters, and much more, the series lost its way from its promising start early on to become a muddled mess. Starting next month, T-Mobile will provide free in-flight WiFi to all Delta passengers, even those who use a competing carrier like AT&T or Verizon… Free Wi-Fi for everyone flying Delta T-Mobile and Delta made the announcement this week as part of CES 2023. This new initiative is an extension of the “Coverage Beyond” program that T-Mobile launched last year, which gave T-Mobile subscribers free Wi-Fi access on several airlines in the United States....

While much of Black Panther focused on Chadwick Boseman’s lead, the sympathetic Erik Killmonger, and the sneering Ulysses Klaue, the women of the ensemble certainly get their time to shine. Lionsgate’s Chaos Walking movie will reportedly undergo reshoots later this year that may delay the YA adaptation’s early 2019 release date. After a bit of a lull in the wake of The Hunger Games’ diminishing success and the box office flop of the third Divergent film, Allegiant, Hollywood has dipped back into the YA sci-fi/fantasy well for some upcoming blockbusters. One will debut later this year with Jennifer Yuh Nelson’s The Darkest Minds, which recently unveiled the first trailer, while another is set for early next year....

Chris Hardwick’s presence is wiped from the Nerdist website amid allegations of abuse and sexual assault detailed by Chloe Dykstra. Hardwick has made a name for himself as a geek entertainment personality, hosting a number of TV shows, including The Walking Dead after show Talking Dead and Talking with Chris Hardwick on AMC, and the now-concluded @midnight on Comedy Central. He also has a big presence at Comic-Con International in San Diego each year, where he moderates panels for various pop culture properties....

Chris Pratt’s movie adaptation of the comic book series Cowboy Ninja Viking has finally landed a release date. In recent years, Pratt has had a number of successful film projects he’s been juggling, including the smash Guardians of the Galaxy films, the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, and the worldwide blockbuster Jurassic World and its 2018 sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. All the while, though, Pratt has been keeping a passion project simmering on the back burner, and it appears that fans are finally going to see it in the summer of 2019....

Filming on Creed II is officially underway, and now the story and cast for the sequel have been confirmed. Sylvester Stallone tried to call it a day for the Rocky series with Rocky V in 1990, a sequel that was famously met with derision upon release. It took 16 years for Stallone to redeem the character with Rocky Balboa, where a long-retired Rocky is tempted back into ring to prove to himself he still has what it takes....

The actor (or, more accurately, actors) who will be playing Batman in DC Universe’s Titans has finally been revealed. Bruce Wayne has been seen before on the streaming series, but only from behind and/or in silhouette. The Titans season 1 finale will be something different altogether when it comes to the Dark Knight. As revealed in the Titans season 1 finale trailer, Robin and Batman will face off in Gotham City because Batman has (apparently) killed nearly every major villain in his rogues’ gallery - including The Joker....

One of the challenges of maintaining a huge AAA online shooter like Bungie’s Destiny is keeping players engaged enough to keep coming back for more, even as new games continue to be released as potential distractions. Since its original release in 2014, Destiny has since seen a substantial amount of DLC become available for players, including The Dark Below, House of Wolves and The Taken King. Writer and director Alex Garland is currently making the rounds for his new feature film Annihilation, but he’s already sharing some details about Devs, the upcoming sci-fi series that’s been green-lit by FX. Ever since he made his directorial debut with the 2015 film Ex Machina, his follow-up, an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Jeff VanderMeer — the first in the author’s ‘Southern Reach Trilogy’— further demonstrated Garland’s interest in thought-provoking science fiction stories, which it seems he’ll next bring to television....

Disney may have stepped in on Electronic Arts’ (EA) public relations nightmare revolving around their latest release, Star Wars: Battlefront II. During the past week, the video games’ big debut, which was supposed to be a comeback after 2015’s reboot letdown, has been clouded with drama surrounding microtransactions, loot boxes, enabling gambling and angry Star Wars fans. While the idea of pay-to-win has been plaguing the video game industry since mobile gaming started, fans have been relentless in their protest to stop Battlefront II from becoming a game meant to make money for EA, and not for the Star Wars community....

Benedict Cumberbatch said in a new interview that he would love to continue playing Doctor Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And while Sorcerer Supreme fans may be scratching their heads at Cumberbatch’s comments, it’s true: Doctor Strange 2 isn’t quite confirmed yet. It’s possible that the MCU’s Phase 4 could end up moving forward without a direct sequel, despite the first installment winning critics and audiences over and grossing over $677 million worldwide off a $165 million production budget....
