Netflix’s new documentary series Conversations With A Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes features never-before-released interviews with the notorious American serial killer - but will there be further episodes of the show? The streaming service previously made its mark on the landscape of true crime television with Making A Murderer, an in-depth look at the conviction of Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey for the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. Making A Murderer season 1 was the result of ten years’ worth of filming, and last year Netflix released a second season to follow up on the case....

Introduced by none other than John Wick, himself, CD Projekt Red’s hotly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 made a surprise appearance at Xbox’s E3 2019 press conference with an all-new cinematic trailer. The last footage the world’s seen of Cyberpunk 2077 was a live stream of the breathtaking demo shown off at 2018’s E3 and Gamescom, making this cinematic look at the game a massive deal. Showing off the upcoming game’s beautiful cutscenes and deep, hard-hitting approach to storytelling, the Xbox E3 trailer for Cyberpunk gives credence to the rumor that the game has already come a long way since the last time viewers laid eyes upon it....

One of the big announcements coming out of WonderCon in Los Angeles this weekend was the complete unveiling of the Rebirth event coming from DC Comics. The DC Universe will be changing with fresh starts on several new series and new creative teams to help kick them off. But along with the news of Rebirth, the publisher announced that it will also be doing something it has never done before: it will reveal the identity of their most notorious villain, the Joker....

In many ways, Thor and Deadpool are polar opposites; from Thor’s stunning good looks to Wade’s tumor-ridden hideousness. From Thor’s air of dignity to Deadpool’s madcap antics. Both of these characters do have a moral code that they follow, although Thor’s is something that most would find a little more easily recognizable as such, given that Deadpool’s amounts to ‘brutally slaughter people who do bad things’....

Apple TV+ today premiered its new docuseries Prehistoric Planet. Prehistoric Planet combines big-budget CGI with the latest scientific knowledge about dinosaurs to bring a wholly new five-part series. In the style of Planet Earth and similar nature documentaries, David Attenborough narrates the behavior of these stunning Cretaceous period species, as if they were actually being filmed. Apple TV+ is releasing the show as a documentary five-night event, which means one episode will be released every day this week....

Legion creator Noah Hawley has teased some of the ideas for his planned movie about the iconic Marvel character Doctor Doom. Whilst production on the film is realistically a long way from starting and yet to be green-lit, Hawley hopes to provide a story that will ‘mix genres’ and finally provide a fitting platform to explore one of the best comic-book villains ever. Doctor Victor Von Doom has been pestering the Marvel Universe ever since first appearing in The Fantastic Four #5 in July 1962....

When Borderlands 3 launches in September, it’ll have a suite of features aimed at improving its multiplayer and streaming experience, including asynchronous matchmaking and Twitch integration. Twitch was still young when Borderlands 2 launched in 2012, but developer Gearbox Software seems to be taking full advantage of the platform now. Borderlands 3 has gotten a lot of attention since it was announced, some of which its developer probably isn’t too happy about....

A poll has revealed that many Brits are deleting the contact tracing app in order to avoid the risk of being asked to self-isolate. The behavior is in part enabled by an odd decision around digital COVID vaccine passports … Background England and Wales have two different NHS apps. The NHS COVID-19 app uses the joint Apple/Google API for detecting exposure to the virus, and also for checking in to venues like restaurants, bars, and theaters by scanning a QR code....

After the issues with the films and several lawsuits around the use of Tolkien’s works, it seemed that the franchise was finished, but recent events suggest that there is a whole new future for Middle-earth on screen. However, the response to the news was very mixed, with many feeling that a TV series was not the way forward (including John Rhys-Davies). Many feel that this is a cash-grab, not a careful expansion of the universe, and others wondered if it was at all necessary....

Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War is huge, bringing in massive results at the box office and leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe in disarray as the MCU inches closer to Infinity War. Even though it differed significantly from the comic event that inspired it, the film arguably had a larger impact on the MCU than any film that came before it – even more than the S.H.I.E.L.D.-is-Hydra reveal in Captain America: The Winter Soldier....

When the Marvel Cinematic Universe began back in 2008, each new movie pretty much stood on its own. Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger each set up their own respective characters (with a few crossovers), while all leading to 2012’s team-up movie The Avengers. Yet each new film along the way also established the MCU’s reign at the box office. Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus got their start in the MCU on the first Captain America movie, before later writing Phase 2’s The Winter Soldier and Phase 3’s Civil War....

Mission: Impossible - Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie isn’t ready to commit to helming Mission: Impossible 7 just yet. A seventh installment in the ’60s TV show turned Tom Cruise blockbuster franchise is expected to be formally green-lit in the near future. McQuarrie is in a unique position when it comes to this particular big screen property. Not only is he the first director to helm more than a single Mission: Impossible movie (having now called the shots on both Fallout and 2015’s Rogue Nation), he’s also the first to really serialize the franchise, after previous filmmakers took a more episodic approach with their entries (certain recurring characters aside)....

While rumors expect a new MacBook Pro for later this year, a leaker now says we can also expect a new MacBook Air that will launch in the first half of 2022 in different colors. This comes after Bloomberg previously reported on Apple’s plans to introduce its M1 successor with an updated MacBook Air. In a tweet posted this week, DylanDkt says that the next MacBook Air will feature an M2 processor, as the M1X will be reserved for the Pro Mac devices....

It could be any day now. The notch is inescapable. It’s making its way to any and every device is can. The new MacBook Pro didn’t need a notch, it’s there primarily for aesthetics. Last night, Bloomberg published images of Meta’s upcoming smartwatch that happens to have a notch with a camera. It is entirely possible that Apple is considering putting a notch and a camera on the Apple Watch eventually....

Legion star Dan Stevens will stick with Noah Hawley, signing on for the director’s astronaut drama Pale Blue Dot. Hawley created the FX series Legion, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. He also created the acclaimed series Fargo, inspired by the Coen Brothers’ Oscar-winning film. Having brought to life two of TV’s most fascinating, experimental TV shows, Hawley will next try his hand at feature films. For his debut movie Pale Blue Dot, Hawley has recruited stars Natalie Portman and Jon Hamm....

There seems to be a common consensus that Marvel is winning the live action comics war against their rivals at DC. On a gut level, that may feel correct. The movies and TV series produced by Marvel Studios tend to generate more than a billion dollars a year at the box office. This year, Marvel already earned over $1.1 billion in worldwide box office sales, according to Box Office Mojo, and that’s just with Captain America: Civil War alone....

The Batman family may rely on capes, cowls, and gadgets, but Nightwing has relied on nothing but his signature suit and streak of blue to win fans. So it shouldn’t really surprise anyone that Nightwing himself, Dick Grayson, ranks his superhero suit as one of DC’s coolest. Not that Dick Grayson would ever be the kind of superhero to brag about such a thing (there are too many… questionable Nightwing costumes in his past to get an ego)....
