Every time Marvel release a movie, it’s accompanied by a special hardback book collecting images of concept art from the film. The Art of Black Panther is one of the most beautiful to date, exploring the incredibly detailed work that Marvel’s artists and producers put into creating the fictional world of Wakanda. It also features stunning concept art for different character designs, and the Black Panther’s are particularly interesting....

Blizzard Entertainment releases an official statement in response to the kerfuffle about the fake Overwatch pro player ‘Ellie.’ Last week, Overwatch team Second Wind announced that Ellie, its only female player, would be leaving the team due to harassment and doxxing attempts, but it turned out that Ellie’s situation was a bit trickier than previously known - she doesn’t even exist. Preacher and Loving actor Ruth Negga is the latest big name added to the cast of Ad Astra, the epic science fiction movie James Gray is directing for New Regency. Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones are already on-board the film about an Army Corps engineer looking across the solar system for his father, who disappeared during a mission to seek out alien life 20 years before. Bumblebee is the first spin-off film in the Transformers franchise and the first film in the series to be directed by someone other than Michael Bay. While CSI: Crime Scene Investigation had enough drama between burglaries, violent crimes and just about every employee being framed, abducted or offed during the show’s run, writers opted to add in more drama with a few relationships. The third trailer for Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice revealed much more than many fans expected. Summer 2018 movie season keeps on rolling, but August’s new releases certainly have a tough act to follow. Thankfully, there’s a bunch of August 2018 films we’re excited for. The latter film even delivered the biggest opening weekend of the franchise to date as well as universal critical acclaim. Since its release back in 1989, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure has become a 1980s classic. The campy adventures of surfer-tongued rocker goofballs Bill S. Preston, Esquire (Alex Winter) and “Ted” Theodore Logan (Keanu Reeves) left an indelible mark on pop culture, spawning a sequel and a short lived cartoon show, as well as launching the careers of its stars. However, after 1991’s Bogus Journey, the excellence went on a long term hiatus....

Playboy has placed its planned Hugh Hefner biopic on hold after sexual harassment allegations were leveled against the film’s director, Brett Ratner. The film had reportedly nabbed Jared Leto to play Hefner, but Leto has now distanced himself from the project, with his reps saying the actor was never officially attached. Producing a film about famed Playboy founder and latter-day reality star Hefner has long been a dream-project for Ratner, who in 2007 had a biopic set up at Universal with Robert Downey Jr....
