Filming on Creed 2 is now underway, as confirmed by set photos showing Dolph Lundgren and Florian Munteanu shooting scenes at Philadelphia’s Museum of Art, where the famous “Rocky steps” are. Because it is a continuation, not a reboot, the road to A&E’s Damien series ostensibly began in 1976 with the release of the Richard Donner-directed horror film The Omen. The film, about a U.S. ambassador played by Gregory Peck who unwittingly adopts the Antichrist after losing his own son, struck a chord thanks to its unnerving, ever-present horror and tension that, although supernatural in nature, largely sidestepped the outlandish and planted its feet firmly (albeit creepily) in family drama....

The good news for moviegoers is that director Tim Miller has delivered a product that lives up to the promise (read our review), with the film even earning a Certified Fresh ranking from review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. Subverting the superhero genre, many are impressed with Deadpool’s sense of humor and fun....

Ben Affleck’s involvement in The Batman solo movie remains uncertain, but a new rumor suggests that the actor wants to continue appearing in the DC Extended Universe, which would ease any concerns that DCEU fans currently have about the situation. Affleck made his debut appearance as the Caped Crusader in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016, and then reprised his role in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad later that year and again in Justice League last fall, but his future remains in doubt....

The star of Marvel Studios’ Black Widow movie, Scarlett Johansson, won’t confirm or deny whether Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner appears in her upcoming solo Marvel Cinematic Universe film. Natasha Romanoff aka. Black Widow first appeared in Phase 1 of the MCU, making her debut in Iron Man 2 before joining up with the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in The Avengers. Paramount Pictures recently pulled World War Z 2 from its release calendar, along with Friday the 13th part 13, a move which raised questions about what some of the talent attached to the project will be getting up to next. Despite removing the movie from their release schedule, Paramount and Plan B will continue to work on WWZ 2 in the hopes of getting director David Fincher to commit. Brad Pitt was set to reprise his role of former United Nations investigator Gerry Lane as the star of the World War Z sequel, which begs the question: what will star in next, now that his calendar has been freed up?...

While Netflix’s business model of producing original programming seems to be akin to flinging spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks, few people could have predicted the success of its sci-fi drama Stranger Things. Before its release, little was known about the project beyond the involvement of Oscar-nominated actress Winona Ryder (Bram Stoker’s Dracula), so the show was billed as her major comeback to the industry after a quiet decade....

As much as Hollywood is famously known as the place where movie magic is created, what’s often forgotten about Tinseltown is that it is first and foremost a business, constantly on the lookout for new and entertaining methods by which to turn a profit. Sequels, franchises, remakes and reboots all factor in to this model and have been used with great effectiveness toward the ultimate goal. Director Steven S. DeKnight reveals Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam almost returned for Pacific Rim Uprising – and could still return for another film in the franchise. Hunnam starred in the original 2013 film from director Guillermo del Toro. Pacific Rim followed Hunnam’s Raleigh Becket who returned to the role of a Jaeger pilot after the death of his brother some years before. Becket teams up with the adopted daughter of General Stacker Pentecost (Idris Elba), Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi), with whom he’s drift compatible....

The first season of Cloak & Dagger has been a masterclass in how to connect a Marvel TV series to the wider MCU. A decade ago, Marvel launched their shared cinematic universe with Iron Man, and since then that universe has expanded to embrace an ever-growing series of movies and TV shows. Fans love the idea that everything in this universe is connected, but the sprawling nature of the MCU means it’s getting increasingly difficult to keep track of everything....

Creed II director Steven Caple Jr. talks the possibility of seeing Mr. T’s James “Clubber” Lang in the franchise. Taking over helming responsibilities from Ryan Coogler, the 30-year-old filmmaker moves Adonis “Donnie” Creed’s (Michael Jordan) story forward as he steps into the ring with Ivan Drago’s (Dolph Lundgren) son, Viktor (Florian Munteanu) while still, under the tutelage of Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone). While the reviews aren’t as smashing as Creed’s, critics are lauding the film’s focus on the generational drama with the reintroduction of the Dragos....

The heroes of Dc’s Trinity are no match for the magic of the Warlord world of Skartaris. Well, they’re technically JUST a match, having spent the last two issues battling the lizard people and demonic forces of Deimos in the world created by Mike Grell in 1975. Most younger comics fans may have no existing knowledge of Travis Morgan, The Warlord, his daughter Jennifer, or their enemy Deimos. But the blend of modern DC and classic swords and sorcery fantasy was a hit in its day - and its return to the new Rebirth canon is a treat for fans....

Deadpool 2 director David Leitch confirms at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 that the film’s Blu-ray release will reveal whether or not the Juggernaut died. The blockbuster sequel released earlier this summer to critical acclaim and commercial success, grossing almost $730 million at the worldwide box office. And now, it’s slated to release on home video in just a few weeks. The home video versions of Deadpool 2 will include an unrated Super Duper Cut, which will come with deleted scenes and alternate takes....

Warning: SPOILERS for Titans Episode 2 It may only be on Episode 2, but DC’s Titans just ended with a cliffhanger guaranteed to get people talking. After introducing Minka Kelly’s version of the DC superhero Dove… her character seems to have been killed in the very same episode. But that can’t seriously be the fate of Dove in the Titans story, can it? Plenty of other characters have dropped dead or been killed in the first episode of the DC Universe series, leaving fans scratching their heads about some of the most nagging Titans questions....
