Bumblebee director Travis Knight is looking to return to his animation studio Laika after his live-action feature debut, and claims reports of him possibly helming an MCU film are just rumors. Knight left a major impression on audiences two years ago with his directorial debut Kubo and the Two Strings, and the excitement for Bumblebee has made him a rising name. He got the Bumblebee job over some other very qualified candidates, but he’s shown along the way that he could be the perfect choice to help reset the Transformers film franchise....

That includes those projects featuring princesses and female leads: characters that might have once become as popular as Snow White, Cinderella and Belle. The long awaited debut of Superman’s black suit in Justice League has been revealed in a deleted scene, and it gives the Man of Steel a far more complete character arc than he had in the theatrical cut of the movie. DC’s big team-up came up short in more ways than one when it hit theaters last November, ultimately proving to be a critical and financial disappointment. It did have its bright spots, however, and despite the horrific CGI work that was done to remove Henry Cavill’s mustache, the new and improved Superman was widely considered to be one of Justice League’s greatest strengths....

Birds of Prey, which is the first film to bring together a female superhero team, has had a peculiar journey since its release. Josh Brolin confesses that a hit romantic comedy starring Ryan Reynolds is what made him want to join Deadpool 2. Fans of the first Deadpool film will find out in less than a couple weeks whether there’s enough big screen chemistry between Reynolds and Brolin to help make Deadpool 2 as big a hit as the first. That’s a tall order, considering the 2016 solo movie debut of the Merc with a Mouth made $363 million domestically, marking only the third time in history that an R-rated film crossed the $300 million mark stateside....
Outta nowhere, Bumblebee has become one of the holiday season’s most beloved films, and at its humorous core is John Cena. The wrestler has taken an unexpected route into movies compared to some of his predecessors, with a breakout turn in Trainwreck making way for a slew of comedy roles. This is, surprisingly, also true of Agent Burns, the Sector Seven goon Cena plays in Bumblebee; although the antagonist for much of the film, he’s made likable by a deft sense of humor....
Captain Marvel star Samuel L. Jackson revealed that his character Nick Fury and title character Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) will be “compatriots” in the upcoming and latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Considering that Fury’s last act before being dusted by Thanos’ snap in Avengers: Infinity War is to presumably alert Captain Marvel to the threat, this isn’t altogether surprising. Captain Marvel is set to release in March, which is a little less than two months before Avengers: Endgame drops, and will serve as an origin story for Carol Danvers....

Though these characters lead distinctively different lives as superheroes - one is a public presence, while the other is far more isolated - this fan art opens up an interesting take on alternate casting. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players are sharing a powerful new feature in Cyber Attack mode they didn’t even realize was available to them. The latest installment in the CoD franchise, Modern Warfare was released in October 2019 and included several new game modes, including survival and the Cyber Attack objective. Modern Warfare quickly rose to become one of the most popular CoD games for online play, seeing the highest multiplayer numbers of any Call of Duty games for the current consoles – and sales figures did similarly well....
