Bohemian Rhapsody will reportedly credit Bryan Singer as the director. Singer, who will mark his first feature-length directorial effort since 2016’s X-Men: Apocalypse, was fired from Bohemian Rhapsody late last year after production was momentarily halted due to his unexpected absence. Perhaps not coincidentally, this happened around the same time that allegations against him came out in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandal. After he was fired, Singer faced a lawsuit on allegations he raped a teenager....

Buffy The Vampire Slayer writer and executive producer Marti Noxon has landed a four-year TV development deal with Netflix. Noxon’s long list of credits include writing and producing for Buffy spin-off Angel, Glee, and Mad Men, and serving as showrunner for NBC’s Brothers & Sisters, and Grey’s Anatomy spin-off Private Practice. She’s also credited as series creator for HBO’s Sharp Objects (which starred Amy Adams), Bravo’s Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce, Lifetime’s UnREAL, and AMC’s Dietland....

The original Child’s Play found a serial killer, played by Brad Dourif (Deadwood), transferring his soul into a doll via a little voodoo before he dies, and then trying to transfer out before he becomes permanently trapped. The first movie was a surprisingly suspenseful thriller that made good use of its central premise....

Disney+ is bringing back the classic chipmunk duo Chip ’n’ Dale, for a rebooted cartoon. Launching in November, the streaming service appears committed to their animation core with Chip ’n’ Dale being added to a slate that includes, Monsters at Work and Bluey. Created by Walt Disney animator Bill Justice, Chip ’n’ Dale are anthropomorphic chipmunk brothers who made their first appearance in 1943’s Private Pluto. Incorporated into cartoons with iconic Disney characters, Chip ’n’ Dale tote a mischievous streak and are antagonistic against Donald Duck, Pluto, and Mickey Mouse....

Lewis Tan may be joining DC after stints in Marvel’s Iron Fist and Deadpool 2. There’s plenty of opportunities for actors to get involved in a DC project nowadays. The main focus may be on the movies and how Warner Bros. is handling the unofficially titled DC Extended Universe, but they’re insanely busy on TV. They’ve got five shows on The CW, plus Krypton on Syfy and Gotham on FOX. But, they’re also preparing to launch a digital service (possibly later this year) that will feature several new shows....

The first wave of Deadpool 2 reviews have hit the ‘Net. With Deadpool director Tim Miller not returning and the movie blatantly setting up X-Force, fans have had fair reason for concern about Ryan Reynolds’ filthy mouthed superhero sequel. The original Deadpool’s success was partly a matter of circumstance, arriving seven years after Reynolds’ debut as Wade Wilson in the woebegone X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Miller’s film was a breath of fresh air for the X-Men series when it hit the scene, so it was always going to be tough to bottle lightning a second time....

Voice actor Troy Baker believes that Death Stranding is a statement from developer Hideo Kojima. There has been a lot of mystery surrounding the title since Kojima announced it at Sony’s 2016 E3 presentation. Now, over three years later, no one has much of an idea of what the game is about still. The trailers for Death Stranding have been mysteries wrapped in enigmas, although Kojima continues to tease how Death Stranding is different from other games....

There will be a 21-minute long short film titled Olaf’s Frozen Adventure that premieres in theaters right before Pixar’s new film, Coco, on November 22. The short evolved from Disney’s hit film Frozen and is expected to warm everyone’s hearts. The short follows Olaf and the gang, including Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff, as they go on a holiday themed adventure. Since Frozen was so heavily focused on the music, it only makes sense that this featurette will keep that focus too....

Booksmart and Superbad are both brilliant films in their own right. Both movies deal with the coming of age stories of two inseparable besties who find themselves desperate to unleash their inner “#FOMO” before graduating high school. Beanie Feldstein’s character, Molly, is strikingly similar to Jonah Hill’s Seth, and it helps that the two actors are siblings in real life. Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta launches later this week - and we have all the information on how to get in. The private beta will be the first public test to see how the new game feels and operates on a large scale prior to the game’s launch this October on consoles and PC. Live audio platform Clubhouse announced this week a new update to its mobile app that introduces “Wave Bar.” Users will now see a new bar at the top of the screen that shows your friends who are currently online on the social network, so you can easily interact with them. With the new interface, users can invite their online friends to start a room directly from the Clubhouse home screen. As highlighted in a blog post, Waves opens social rooms instead of private rooms, so that friends from all speakers can also join the conversation....
