The cast and crew of Daredevil react to Netflix’s cancelation of the series. The first Marvel TV series created in partnership with the streaming giant, the Charlie Cox-led show just dropped its critically acclaimed third outing last month. Its season finale was crafted so well that it is a satisfying end to Matt Murdock’s adventures. That said, considering the quality of its latest installment, many were still hoping that a fourth season was going to happen....

The first trailer for the next X-Men film, Dark Phoenix, has finally been released - and it still leaves us none the wiser about the role of Jessica Chastain’s villain and the alien Skrulls. The trailer focuses almost entirely upon the threat of the Phoenix, setting up an intensely personal story that sees the X-Men apparently battling against one of their own. It’s been widely reported that Dark Phoenix features the shapeshifting aliens known as the Skrulls....

In November audiences will meet one of Marvel’s darkest and most mystical characters: Stephen Strange, also known as ‘The Sorcerer Supreme.’ Strange will debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in his standalone movie, Doctor Strange, as part of Marvel’s Phase Three, injecting mysticism and, apparently, time-altering mechanics to the studio’s superhero universe. Marvel has been especially mysterious about Strange, but the details are finally starting to arrive. After getting the first official look at Benedict Cumberbatch in full Doctor Strange costume, as well as some extra images and concept art, the Marvel crew are now sharing details on Strange’s powers and magical artifacts....

Doctor Strange is one of the most visually stunning entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie boasts tremendous effects, but much of its visual appeal comes from the minimalist magic employed by The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) and her students, including Dr. Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). Its distinctive look and feel would certainly lend itself to equally vibrant concept art. Previously-released or leaked concept art for Doctor Strange has given a look at the early looks of some of the characters, including an unused design of Kaecilius’ (Mads Mikkelsen) zealots, an early concept for Dormammu, and a preliminary drawing of Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) that’s fairly close to the costume that ultimately appeared in the movie....

The Big Bang Theory’s crossover episode with Young Sheldon conveniently resolves the shows’ continuity problem regarding Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons/Iain Armitage) father, George Cooper Sr.. Unlike the rest of the family, the Cooper patriarch, played by Lance Barber, has only been described in the long-running sitcom for years, since he’s already dead. This gave fans an idea of what Sheldon’s father was like, but since the debut of the prequel offshoot last year, viewers have seen more of George Sr....

Jared Leto has revealed that he is the only person who truly, definitively knows if Deckard is actually a replicant in Blade Runner 2049. In the belated sequel, Leto plays Niander Wallace, a serial industrialist who specializes in artificial food production, space colonization and, of course, replicant creation. His goal is to find the child of Deckard and Rachael in the hope of figuring out how to get replicants to pro-create, thus creating a near-infinite army of slaves....

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul posts a photo of himself with Bryan Cranston to continue teasing a mystery collaboration between the two. The Emmy winning stars of AMC’s acclaimed crime drama made waves a week ago, when they both posted identical donkey photos on their respective social media accounts, hinting that something was on the way “soon.” Further details are unavailable at this time, but the lack of information didn’t stop Breaking Bad fans from dreaming of a reunion between Jesse Pinkman and Walter White....

Hollywood’s penchant for remaking or rebooting familiar titles is nothing new. It is only however, in the past couple decades that it’s really kicked into high gear. Take for example, Universal’s current plan to reboot its famous line of monster movies. Films like The Wolfman and The Invisible Man are all classics of the genre, yet could very well benefit from a resurrection if the right people were involved. Universal intends to kickoff its rebooted (Shared) Monsters Movie Universe with Alex Kurtzman’s The Mummy in 2016, followed by a new monster film every year after....

Captain Marvel producer Jonathan Schwartz says the film was inspired by classic 1990s action movies like Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Independence Day. The 21st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe overall, Captain Marvel doubles as an introduction to Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) and a prequel to most of the MCU movies before it. Indeed, much of the film takes place years before the events of the original Iron Man in the ’90s, at a time when the Avengers Initiative was barely a glimmer in Nick Fury’s still-working two eyes....

The Kree Supreme Intelligence was played by Annette Bening in Captain Marvel, but early plans for the movie would have had the AI leader present itself as a giant, green head - just like in the comics. In both the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Supreme Intelligence is a being created to further the interests of the Kree and help them win in their war against the Skrulls, but in the MCU the Supreme Intelligence takes on different forms depending on who it’s speaking to....

Marvel has revealed new details about the Captain Marvel film, including a 1990s setting, the presence of a pre-eyepatch Nick Fury and villains the Skrulls. There’s been a lot of hype for the solo outing for Carol Danvers ever since it was announced in 2014, but as one of the latest films on the MCU’s Phase 3 slate (aside from Avengers 4) Marvel’s been tight-lipped about what to expect. We’ve mainly known those involved - the script is being written by Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve, and last San Diego Comic-Con Brie Larson was finally confirmed as playing Danvers herself....

Doctor Who season 10 won’t air until Spring 2017, but to tide Whovians over in the meantime there is, of course, the upcoming Doctor Who Christmas special as well as a new spinoff series - Class. Set at Coal Hill Academy (née School, an institution which has played a small but significant role throughout Doctor Who’s 50+ year history), the spinoff series follows four students as they traverse the trials of their young lives as well as the possible end of all existence....

Couples Therapy doctor Jenn Mann weighed in on the former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evan’s marriage to David Eason, advising Jenelle to leave him. Mann, who has counseled former Teen Moms stars Farrah Abraham, Catelynn Lowell, and Tyler Baltierra at some point on the show, is now taking a stab at helping Jenelle’s family situation. Jenelle’s husband David admitted to shooting and killing their family French Bulldog, Nugget, back in April after the dog allegedly snapped at their two-year old daughter Ensley....

Deadly Class’s King’s Dominion school for would-be assassins is pretty much like any other ordinary high school, with some significant, underlying differences, of course, such as what makes up the school’s factions/groups that separate all the students. Syfy’s adaptation of Rick Remender’s comic book series of the same name, which was drawn by Wesley Craig for Image Comics in 2014, was created by Remender and Miles Orion Feldsott. In addition to Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame directors Anthony and Joe Russo producing the new series, Deadly Class boasts an impressive cast, consisting of big hitters like Benedict Wong as Master Lin and Lana Candor as Saya Kuroki, among many others....

Warner Bros. has revealed the Blu-ray release date for Detective Pikachu, as well as the full set of special features. Starring Justice Smith as the protagonist and Ryan Reynolds as the smooth-talking electric rodent, the Pokémon film released in May to decent reception, and would go on to become the most commercially successful video game movie to date. Detective Pikachu’s first trailer excited viewers with its unique, noir-like setting, and faithful adaption of the Pokémon....

Actor Paul Benjamin passes away at the age of 81. A veteran character actor, Benjamin was best known for his memorable role in 1989 classic Do the Right Thing, directed by Spike Lee. In 1969, Benjamin made his feature film debut in Midnight Cowboy starring Dustin Hoffman and Jon Voight, the father of actress Angelina Jolie. The film initially received an X rating, but ultimately earned seven Oscar nominations, including three wins....

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will team up for a film adaptation of the bizarre true story behind the McDonald’s Monopoly theft. The two lifelong friends experienced their big break together when they co-wrote and starred in the 1997 drama Good Will Hunting. After winning Oscars for that movie, they have collaborated on a number of occasions, including lead roles in the film Dogma and producing numerous projects - several of which stemmed from their Project Greenlight....
