Disney’s live-action Mulan trailer has arrived, and fans are greeting it with mixed reactions. While many are loving the film’s exciting aesthetics and shift toward reality, others are worried by the trailer’s apparent lack of Mushu. While only time will tell how the new movie measures up, there is one thing we can rely on right now: Disney’s 1998 animated original. Mulan was one of the many incredible stories which the Mouse House shared with us during the Disney Renaissance....

Billy Dee Williams offers high praise for both Solo: A Star Wars Story and Donald Glover’s performance as Lando Calrissian. Williams, of course, first brought life to the fan-favorite scoundrel in The Empire Strikes Back and reprised the role in Return of the Jedi. Michael B. Jordan is open to returning as Killmonger in Black Panther 2. One of the common criticisms Marvel Cinematic Universe movies tend to receive is having a lack of strong and compelling villains. After years of that complaint (which almost comes by design as Marvel wants to keep the focus on the heroes), there’s been a noticeable shift as of late. Following a few noteworthy villains, director Ryan Coogler stepped up to the plate with Black Panther to deliver arguably the best MCU villain to date, thanks in no small part to Jordan’s portrayal....

J.R.R. Tolkien’s son, Christopher Tolkien, recently announced his retirement as director of the Tolkien Estate, a position he’s held since his father passed away in 1973. Christopher is one of his father’s staunchest supporters and he’s earned himself the reputation of being a Tolkien purist over the years, believing that nothing could surpass the original books (or his own works). In many ways, Christopher retiring from his position at the Tolkien Estate is similar to George Lucas stepping away from Lucasfilm and the Star Wars franchise; therefore, allowing Disney to continue telling more stories on their own....

Walt Disney Studios will reportedly take over the development of the Avatar and X-Men movie franchises following the downsizing of 20th Century Fox after the impending acquisition completes. Last year, Disney made a bid to acquire 21st Century Fox’s movie and TV assets - including studios such as 20th Century Fox Television, FX Networks, and more - for just over $52 billion. But a bidding war with Comcast forced them to up their bid to a whopping $71....

Justice League is upon us. The film will mark the very first time that DC Comics’ most prominent super-team will come together in a live-action full-length picture, bringing together the characters that the DC Extended Universe has been introducing since 2013’s Man of Steel. Better Call Saul season 5 might’ve just dropped a hint as to why Kim Wexler doesn’t appear in Breaking Bad. Saul Goodman’s origin story has rapidly caught up to the events of Breaking Bad and the spinoff’s most recent offering, “The Guy For This,” saw the return of Dean Norris as Hank Schrader and Steven Quezada as Gomez, the two DEA agents who doggedly pursued Walt throughout Breaking Bad. Hank’s return and the arrest of Krazy-8 is the biggest sign yet that the two shows are close to converging, but there remains an elephant in the room, becoming more prominent with each episode: the presence of Kim Wexler....

Cliff Bleszinski has revealed that he is not going to make another video game. The developer, who is renowned for his work on the likes of the Unreal and Gears of War franchises, took to Twitter to confirm that he has no intention of going back into video game development. Cliffy B’s leave of absence from gaming came after the closure of his own studio, Boss Key Productions. After taking the gamble of full creative control under his own company, unfortunately debut title Lawbreakers failed to find an audience, and although battle royale title Radical Heights was rushed into an early access release, it couldn’t save Boss Key Productions as a whole....
