In addition to featuring several well-known Avengers, the latest offering from directors Joe and Anthony Russo is generating much excitement for the new faces it’ll introduce; namely Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. While the famous wall crawler has not been featured in any Civil War marketing materials, fans have gotten their fair share of looks at the Prince of Wakanda ready for battle in his costume....

Clint Eastwood’s crime drama The Mule is scheduled for a December 2018 release date. At 88 years old, the Hollywood icon isn’t letting his age slow him down, and Eastwood remains as prolific as ever. Shortly after releasing The 15:17 to Paris this past February, he quickly lined up his next project. Eastwood not only directs The Mule, but also stars as Earl Stone - the titular 90-year old drug mule whose actions attract the attention of the DEA....

The marketing campaign for Pokemon: Detective Pikachu has begun, and the movie’s first poster is filled to the brim with references and Easter eggs, which Pokemon fans around the world will undoubtedly have fun perusing through. Based on the Nintendo 3DS video game of the same name - which released in Japan in 2016 and the rest of the world in 2018 - Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures’ adaptation has a number of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments from the Detective Pikachu trailer that makes it worth rewatching for any hardcore fans of the core series....

Bethesda’s Dishonored took the gaming world by storm when it was released in 2012. Likened to the “thinking man’s games [from] the turn of the century which cherished player choice and control,” the game featured an incredibly realized steampunk dystopian world, with gameplay driven by supernatural powers. Even more compelling was the choice it gave players. While the game was primarily designed to be played as a stealthy assassin, players could take more challenging routes to fight threats head on, or spare every life in the game, instead “dishonoring” your targets....

Legends of Tomorrow showrunner Marc Guggenheim has offered fans their first look at John Constantine on the show. This will serve as the second appearance for Matt Ryan’s iteration of the Constantine character in the Arroweverse. The Ryan-headlined Constantine TV series was canceled after one season by NBC back in 2014, upsetting fans of the character who felt that the show deserved to continue airing for a second season. In 2015, it was confirmed that Constantine would return to TV as part of the Arrowverse....

Long-distance charging or true wireless charging could finally see the light of day in 2022 as Belkin is readying accessories that would make use of this technology. The company is said to have made a deal with Israeli startup Wi-Charge, which plans to change how this technology goes by beaming up to one watt of power wirelessly to devices across homes, offices, and more. As reported by TechCrunch, Wi-Charge plans to make use of this wireless charging with “low-drawn situations where you would typically use an alcaline battery or a rechargeable battery....

Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has given his thoughts about a possible movie follow-up to the legendary AMC series, saying he hopes the film will give Walter White’s unfortunate protégé Jesse Pinkman a chance to find happiness. Indeed, if Breaking Bad the movie does happen, the story will reportedly revolve around Aaron Paul’s Pinkman, whose fate was left undetermined in the series’ gripping finale. Paul’s portrayal of Pinkman, the former student of Walter White who was roped into becoming White’s accomplice as he built his meth empire, won the actor a pair of Emmys for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series....

The James Gunn-produced evil Superman film Brightburn leaves the door open for a bigger future, and here’s how an adaptation of DC’s Injustice storyline could fit into Brightburn 2. From the very first trailer, it was evident just how closely Brightburn was following the Superman mythos and giving it a different twist. The comparisons to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel were clear in the marketing with the construction of the trailers, down to the fonts and phrasing used in them....

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers ventured into slightly new territory when it released earlier this year. Not replicating comic book heroes into colorful bricks - it’s been doing that for a while now with LEGO Marvel Superheroes and three LEGO Batman titles, but this was the first time that a LEGO game would follow the lore of the Marvel cinematic universe. The game includes levels based on both Avengers movies, as well as ones that follow the action of Iron Man 3, Thor: A Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier....

When it premieres later this year, Marvel Studios’ upcoming film Captain America: Civil War will launch Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At the heart of the film is the conflict between Steve Rogers a.k.a. Captain America (Chris Evans) and Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) over the accountability of superheroes following the events of past films in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, including last summer’s Avengers: Age of Ultron....

The Marvel Cinematic Universe loves referencing classic movies, particularly when it comes to the 80s and 90s (especially when Peter Quill or Peter Parker is involved), so with Captain Marvel taking place in the 1990s, which films from that decade should it homage? Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Captain Marvel will be the 21st film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but will only be the MCU’s second period film....

After Disney fired writer/director James Gunn from Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 due to a string of controversial tweets he had written a few years ago, some celebrities have stepped forward in his defense. While some agree with Disney’s decision to part ways with Gunn, others have vocalized their objections. After some controversial tweets that Gunn had written between 2009 and 2012 recently surfaced, Disney ultimately stepped forward and fired the writer/director from working on the upcoming third volume in the Guardians of the Galaxy series....

Speaking at the Cloak & Dagger panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, the cast and producers confirmed that Marvel’s latest show has been renewed for a second season. Cloak & Dagger is the latest Marvel TV show, a dramatic series that stars Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph as the titular heroes. The characters were originally created by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan back in 1982, and Marvel has long had plans to bring them into the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe....

Oscar-nominated writer-turned director Dan Gilroy wowed critics and audiences with his 2014 thriller Nightcrawler. His anticipated followup, Inner City, is now in pre-production for a March shoot and looks to be another Los Angeles-set crime story, with all the elements that made Nightcrawler a critical hit. Governments were already discussing how to misuse CSAM scanning technology even before Apple announced its plans, say security researchers. The biggest concern raised when Apple said it would scan iPhones for child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) is that there would be spec-creep, with governments insisting the company scan for other types of images, and there now seems good evidence for this … Background Apple insisted that it had a solid safeguard in place to protect privacy and prevent misuse....
