There will be a 21-minute long short film titled Olaf’s Frozen Adventure that premieres in theaters right before Pixar’s new film, Coco, on November 22. The short evolved from Disney’s hit film Frozen and is expected to warm everyone’s hearts. The short follows Olaf and the gang, including Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff, as they go on a holiday themed adventure. Since Frozen was so heavily focused on the music, it only makes sense that this featurette will keep that focus too.
With Josh Gad returning to voice Olaf, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure has four unique new songs, each one helping the story move along. Since Frozen was released in 2013, it has become a household staple and a new mega franchise for Disney. Its sequel Frozen 2 is scheduled to release in theaters on November 27, 2019. Until then though, Disney is keeping audiences entertained with this new side story starring everyone’s favorite snowman and a soundtrack with a few brand new songs.
The soundtrack to Olaf’s Frozen Adventure will be released on November 3, a few weeks before the premiere date of the actual featurette. The soundtrack will include four brand new songs: “Ring in the Season,” “The Ballad of Flemmingrad,” “That Time of Year,” and “When We’re Together.” The soundtrack will also include instrumental karaoke mixes, as well as the composed score.
Olaf’s Frozen Adventure should offer a whirlwind of emotions. It’s sure to make fans shed a few teardrops as the short film will explore the first holiday season after Elsa reopened the castle doors. Realizing they have no holiday traditions of their own since their parents died while at sea, leaving them behind at home, Olaf makes it his mission to save the holiday for his friends. Thus, the soundtrack follows Olaf along with his buddy Sven as they try to do some good in Arendelle.
Since the soundtrack is being released early, viewers might be able to learn what the short film is all about before they even see it. While some might prefer to let it be a surprise, there’s probably a lot of people who are eagerly waiting for the release of the soundtrack. People just can’t seem to get enough of everything that is Frozen. You can already get sneak peaks of a few of the songs too.
There’s no downside to whichever way you choose to go. While the soundtrack might reveal some secrets, you probably have nothing to worry about. The producers behind Frozen know exactly what they’re doing. All they are hoping for is for everyone to become truly excited about Olaf’s Frozen Adventure and all the magic that it will bring.
