In a couple more weeks (at the time of writing this) the biggest release of the year will finally hit theatres worldwide: Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. After not having a Star Wars movie on the big screen in ten years, J.J. Abrams will take us back to a galaxy far, far away in a new adventure, set 30 years after the events in Return of the Jedi. This new adventure will bring together new characters – such as Finn, Rey, Poe Dameron, and villain Kylo Ren – and some of our favourite characters from the original trilogy.

Although the movie comes out in two weeks, Disney is still releasing TV spots, behind-the-scenes featurettes, and various promotional elements that go from action figures to video games. In case you can’t decide between getting an action figure or one of the video games, Disney Infinity 3.0 will make that decision an easy one: get both. Not only can you continue your own Star Wars experience at home with the game but you can also take home six character figures with light-up lightsabers.

Disney Interactive has revealed six playable limited edition Star Wars Light FX character figures for Disney Infinity 3.0. These figures have lightsabers that light up when placed onto the Disney Infinity Base, making them a must-have if you are planning on purchasing the game.

Although the play set is based on The Force Awakens, these figures are not of any of the film’s new characters Instead, Disney Interactive is bringing the touch of nostalgia with Luke Skywalker, Yoda, Obi Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, and Anakin Skywalker - plus Kanan Jarrus, who’s one of the main characters on Disney XD’s ongoing animated TV series, Star Wars Rebels (set between Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV - A New Hope). As these characters are limited edition, you’ll have to go on a tour in order to collect them all.

Here are pictures of said figures, each of which will be sold exclusively at the following retail stores:

Luke Skywalker: Walmart

Yoda: Target.com

Obi-Wan Kenobi: EB Games

Darth Vader: Toys “R” Us

Anakin Skywalker: Best Buy

For the ultimate full Star Wars experience, the play set, figures, and Power Disc Pack will all be released on December 18, once The Force Awakens is out everywhere for everyone to enjoy. The game is compatible with Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Apple TV. With figures of classic characters like Luke Skywalker and Yoda, each with a light-up lightsaber, there’s almost no excuse to not get your hands on them. Just make sure you get to each store on time, as they will most likely sell quickly.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18th, 2015, followed by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on December 16th, 2016, Star Wars: Episode VIII on May 26th, 2017, and the Han Solo Star Wars Anthology film on May 25th, 2018. Star Wars: Episode IX is expected to reach theaters in 2019, followed by the third Star Wars Anthology film in 2020.
