A new mod for Devil May Cry 5 has given one of the game’s characters a very appropriate costume change, turning him into the villainous Kylo Ren of Star Wars fame. The game has been home to a very active modding community since its PC release in March.

Capcom is known for repeatedly porting its games to newer hardware, and the developer has been doing a consistently great job with its PC ports as of late. Monster Hunter: World, the Resident Evil 2 remake, and Devil May Cry 5 have all been exceptionally well received by PC players thanks to the high-quality porting jobs that were done for each one. Of course, all three of these games have gotten tons of mods as a result, such as giving Mr. X a DMX song that plays while he stalks players in Resident Evil 2. Devil May Cry 5 has plenty of cosmetic mods as well, but this latest one may be the most fitting outfit yet.

Game Informer has found a cosmetic mod for DMC 5 which swaps protagonist V’s outfit for one that looks exactly like Kylo Ren, complete with lightsaber. The mod, created by Nxus64, converts V’s stitched overcoat into the Sith lord’s all-black suit, and replaces V’s usual cane with a cross-shaped red lightsaber. Unfortunately, the mod doesn’t seem to include the option to add a hooded cape or a voice-changing mask to the ensemble.

The outfit can be used in combat and shows up in cutscenes as well, as can be seen in the video above. Like many other cosmetic mods, this leads to plenty of absurd moments during the pre-rendered scenes of the game, like V picking up the lightsaber by the blade and whacking demons with the handle. The mod is currently available for download on Devil May Cry 5’s Nexus Mods alongside Nxus64’s other work for the game.

It’s hard to ignore the resemblance between V and Kylo Ren, and that’s exactly why this mod works so well. Even before it existed, countless people were pointing out the similarities between the two characters and asking Capcom if it had taken inspiration from actor Adam Driver in designing V. While Capcom denied the idea, the comparison still stands, from their near-identical appearances to their angsty personalities and their dark fashion sense. Now players can dress V as Kylo Ren and command demonic animals instead of stormtroopers.
