Less than three months away from Death Stranding’s PC release, Hideo Kojima has suggested that the platform’s exclusive Photo Mode may be coming to the PlayStation 4 after all. Released late last year as a PS4 exclusive, Death Stranding is Hideo Kojima’s first big project after leaving Konami and the first game developed by his new studio Kojima Productions.

Death Stranding proved to be a controversial title upon release, with opinions on the game’s quality and mechanics varying wildly between players and critics alike. Many felt that Death Stranding was a masterpiece, and it has received a number of accolades and even more award nominations since launch. However, a seemingly equal number of people found the game to be tedious, confusing, and not very fun to play. PC players have been anxious to find out for themselves just how the game feels, and Kojima Productions has teased a number of exclusive bonuses for Death Stranding on PC like a Half-Life headcrab outfit for Norman Reedus.

However, one of these Death Stranding PC bonuses may be making their way to the PlayStation 4 as well, if a recent message from Hideo Kojima on Twitter is any indication. The developer has been periodically sharing uploaded photos he’s creating using Death Stranding’s Photo Mode recently, and just yesterday Kojima shared a short video of the process in action, along with the statement “I may consider this feature as an update, since there’re many requests from Sam’s in the world.” Check out the full message, along with the video of Death Stranding’s Photo Mode process, below:

Adding new content to Death Stranding isn’t the only thing that Kojima Productions is currently working on. The creator has already announced that he has begun the preliminary idea process of developing the studio’s next video game, and that it will be a horror project. After Konami’s cancellation of Silent Hills, fans have been wanting Kojima to return to the ideas first presented in P.T., and recent social media messages from former Team Silent art director Masahiro Ito have only added more rumors that something related to Silent Hill may be in production.

Whether or not Kojima Productions is indeed working on a new Silent Hill game, fans are excited to see what happens next. Death Stranding, although it garnered a wide variety of different responses from players, was an undeniably unique and original experience. The addition of new modes and bonuses to Death Stranding’s PC version will likely entice new players to check the game out despite the negative things they may have heard, and bringing those features to the PlayStation 4 will give returning players a reason to step back into Sam’s inevitably well-worn shoes once again.
