After much hype and anticipation, Captain America: Civil War is finally here, kicking off the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in grand style. The film has been well-received by critics (read our review) and proved to be a hit with audiences, scoring the fifth-highest domestic opening weekend at the box office. That reception means there’s great interest and excitement in what the studio has planned for the future, some of which was teased during Civil War.

In this movie, directors Joe and Anthony Russo introduced audiences to the third big screen incarnation of Spider-Man, played by youngster Tom Holland. The actor’s performance was one of the most beloved aspects of Civil War, as Holland seemed to capture both the youthful exuberant and emotional sides of Peter Parker perfectly. After Spidey made the most of his limited screen time, the demand for his solo vehicle, Spider-Man: Homecoming is only going up. Your Friendly Neighborhood is going to be a major fixture in the MCU for years to come, which means there will be plenty of Spider-Man merchandise hitting the shelves.

Superheroes are obviously very popular with children, so Hasbro has capitalized on this fact by producing action figures that tie into the various Marvel films. In a press release, the company announced a new three pack of 6-inch Legends figures in honor of Civil War, which includes Captain America, Iron Man, and Spider-Man. They feature “premium articulation and detailed sculpting,” as well as six accessories. Steve Rogers’ shield is also included in the collection, giving people an opportunity to recreate Spider-Man’s famous pose from the second Civil War trailer. Check out images of the figures below:

These are very nice figures that would be worthy additions to anyone’s collection. The detail on each is impressive, especially the “battle damaged” aspects of Iron Man’s armor and Captain America’s shield. It also looks like Spider-Man’s fingers have points of articulation, so those playing with the toys can have him shoot “webbing” while duking it out with Team Cap. Given the popularity of Civil War and the MCU in general, these should sell very well when they are made available to the public in August 2016. The set will cost approximately $59.99, which is a decent value for all that’s included in the box. Customers can find the figures at most retail stores, as well as HasbroToyShop.com.

It wouldn’t be surprising if this was only the beginning of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line for Civil War. This set includes two members of Team Iron Man, so the odds are stacked against Cap somewhat. With all the heroes that are featured in the latest MCU installment, there are ample opportunities to craft figures for characters such as the Winter Soldier, War Machine, and even Ant-Man. Much like Star Wars, Marvel is a merchandising giant in this day and age, and there’ll be great interest in all the products that come out, giving fans a chance to reenact their favorite moments from the film.
