In June 2015 we traveled to Atlanta Pinewood Studios to visit the production of Captain America: Civil War, the second film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, and the second Marvel Studios production to use these new facilities (Ant-Man being the first the year prior).
We’ll share interviews and notes from what we learned on our two-day adventure throughout the week, beginning later today when the embargo lifts, but what we can say is that the focus of the day was on #TeamCap. That’s who we primarily observed filming action scenes, who we interviewed the most heroes from, and what we’re allowed to talk about today.
But before we get into that, Disney and Marvel have shared a new set of one-sheet character posters for Steve Rogers’ allies. Where there are no surprises in the six-character lineup given what we’ve seen in the Captain America: Civil War trailer, merchandise, and leaked promo art, we do finally get to see Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) in an official image on #TeamCap. There is not however, a poster for Sharon Carter / Agent 13, who’s expected to be on this team as well from the earliest concept art.

Anthony & Joe Russo are directing with Kevin Feige producing. Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Patricia Whitcher, Nate Moore and Stan Lee are the executive producers. The screenplay is by Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.
