Brigitte Nielsen has her eyes set on playing a Marvel villain in the near future. After Marvel Studios convinced the likes of Michael Keaton, Cate Blanchett, and more to play villain roles, it’s become clear that playing the bad guy to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s roster of superheroes is an attractive prospect.

Nielsen hasn’t been in too many high profile projects in recent years, with her role as Ludmilla Drago in Rocky IV arguably still the one she is best known for. After making a surprise return as Drago’s (now ex) wife in Creed II this year, she is back in the spotlight once again and has interest in taking on a comic book character, again. Nielsen actually got her acting start by bringing a Marvel comics character to life, as she starred as the titular character in Red Sonja. But rather than returning for a role in the upcoming reboot or playing a different hero, Nielsen wants to go bad next.

Nielsen revealed her interest during an interview with THR. She doesn’t have any specific Marvel villains in mind, but she does know she wants to get involved with a Marvel production again sometime soon. Whether that is a MCU project or even as part of Sony’s villain universe, Nielsen really wants to play a Marvel villain in the future.

One immediate possibility - given what we know about Phase 4 of the MCU - could be for Nielsen to join Black Widow. In fact, there are already two known roles for the film that Nielsen could be perfect for. It isn’t clear if one of the roles would be a villain or not, but it asks for a European Caucasian female that speaks multiple languages. There is also a secondary antagonist described as a “conniving female villain.” Marvel’s looking for women in their 50s for both parts, so maybe Nielsen could secure one of them, as she meets all the criteria. And with Black Widow sure to have ties to Russia, this may just make too much sense not to happen.

“I see myself in another Marvel story playing the villain where I can just kick butt and just totally scare the crap out of all of you. But I’ll take anything. I feel like there’s a lot of excitement with a villain. You can go many, many places. If you’re the good person, you better be good. It’s good to be bad.”

This is just Nielsen expressing her own interest, but it wouldn’t be too surprising to see a Marvel production reciprocate it. Marvel Studios has already shown quite a strong connection to the Creed franchise after plucking franchise stars Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, and Sylvester Stallone for MCU roles shortly after the film’s success. They also managed to bring director Ryan Coogler into their world and are keeping him around for Black Panther 2. Nielsen could be the next one Kevin Feige and company call.

Even if Nielsen doesn’t get this chance in the MCU, it could still come in one of the many Spider-Man spinoff movies Sony is developing. Morbius is also in the casting process and hasn’t cast a villain yet, so maybe Nielsen could join the project as another vampire. There’s no shortage of Marvel content these days though, so if a Marvel property is as interested in getting Nielsen involved as she is, then maybe her wish will come true.
