The Blade Runner 2049 experience at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con offers attendees a wholly immersive experience. While the film might not have had as much of an impact upon its initial release in 1982 too, over the past three decades, Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner has become regarded as one of the most beloved and critically-acclaimed films of all time. And as such, the expectations and skepticism surrounding Blade Runner 2049, are understandably high, as fans and critics speculate whether or not director Denis Villeneuve’s sequel will be able to live up to the standards set by its predecessor.

Fortunately, the early promotional materials for Blade Runner 2049 have been consistently eye-catching and gorgeous to behold up until this point, and the latest trailer for Blade Runner 2049 only further cements the film as one of this year’s can’t-miss movie events - whether it manages to succeed at recapturing the same success of the original film or not.

Warner Bros. isn’t passing up the chance to continue promoting Blade Runner 2049 at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con either. In addition to the studio’s many DCEU projects, the Blade Runner sequel remains one of WB’s most anticipated upcoming titles. Not only does that include a small presentation for the film being shown during the studio’s Hall H panel this Saturday, but a new immersive Blade Runner 2049 experience open-to-all attendees at the convention this weekend. Check out some exclusive images from the experience for yourself:

In addition to offering visitors up close looks at some of the costumes and props that actually appear in Blade Runner 2049, the experience also takes attendees onto the real streets of the film’s version of Los Angeles in 2049, with actors dressed in Blade Runner attire populating the environment. And in case that wasn’t already enough, the Blade Runner 2049 experience also allows visitors to take tests to determine if they are humans or replicants and offers unique virtual reality experiences that truly allows the attendees to feel like they’ve been transported into the dystopian society of the film.

Warner Bros. has done a solid job at keeping awareness and excitement up for Blade Runner 2049 over the past few months, ever since the first Blade Runner teaser trailer was released last December. It’s not hard to see why, considering the film is one of the biggest titles that the studio is releasing this year, but it also evokes a certain level of confidence in the movie from the studio, which just makes it that much easier to get excited about the sequel. And considering just how beloved the original film is, it’s a miracle that there’s been any excitement for Blade Runner 2049 at all, and should just speak to how good the footage that’s been released from the sequel has been, up to this point.

The Blade Runner 2049 Experience is located in the Gaslamp District, across the street from the San Diego Convention center. It runs from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday.
