Avengers: Infinity War may introduce one fan-favorite Spider-Man costume, but Tom Holland has revealed Marvel and Disney are yet to discuss the black symbiote suit. The MCU’s Spider-Man seems to don a different costume with every movie, largely because Peter Parker benefits from a close friendship with Tony Stark. That will lead Spider-Man to don the famous “Iron Spider” costume in Infinity War, and posters have even hinted that this suit will be made with Stark’s “Bleeding Edge” nannite technology....
Disney’s live-action remake of The Sword in the Stone is reportedly looking to hire 28 Weeks Later director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo to helm the project. The studio has been on a roll in recent years with reimagined revivals of its animated classics, from the Oscar-winning effects of The Jungle Book to the box-office juggernaut Beauty and the Beast. The live-action remakes and reboots are far from over, with the Christopher Robin movie on the way later this year....
Avengers 4 still doesn’t have a title, but a lot of fan theories have suggested what the big Marvel movie could be called. It will be when the Avengers 4 trailer releases, presumably in the last week of November, that audiences will finally know the title of the movie. For now, though, it’s very much open to speculation. What makes this mystery all the more intriguing are the constant tidbits coming from co-directors Anthony and Joe Russo and Marvel mega-producer Kevin Feige about what the title is (or, more accurately, isn’t) and what it could mean for the plot of Avengers 4....
Update: Todd Howard official announced Starfield at their E3 2018 briefing but labels it a next-gen game. As rumors of Bethesda’s E3 offerings continue to circle, it looks like the long-awaited Starfield could be coming sooner than we thought.. The gaming studio will once again be a big part of E3, and with a couple of months to go before the expo, the internet is awash with rumors and teases of potential announcements....
Writer/director Rick Famuyiwa is boarding the long developing movie adaptation of Charles Burns’ cult comic book series Black Hole, with New Regency and Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment producing. Famuyiwa was once attached to oversee Warner Bros. and DC’s upcoming Flash solo movie Flashpoint starring Ezra Miller, before he stepped down back in October of 2016. The filmmaker’s would-be DC superhero project is well in his rearview mirror by now, as he’s moved onto different ventures that include the pilot episode for Showtime’s TV drama The Chi (though that didn’t stop him from throwing some shade at Justice League on social media recently)....
As surprising as the announcements for The Eternals’ stellar cast and The Mighty Thor arriving in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) through Thor: Love and Thunder were, the one headline that stole the entire Marvel panel in this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) was the reveal of Blade’s cinematic return. Starring Mahershala Ali as the titular vampire hunter, Blade is expected to join the MCU in Phase 5. But as is expected, not everyone from the original cast will return....

On Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the Scooby Gang knows how to keep busy. Fighting evil is a 24/7 job. No vacations, no stress leave. Over the course of 144 episodes, the gang killed hundreds of vampires, demons, and bad guys. Some were dusted in the blink of an eye; others took months full of strategizing, planning, and casualties before they could be vanquished. Admittedly, some of the Buffy villains were kinda lame....
Last week, a report by Bloomberg indicated that Apple could adopt a new hardware subscription for iPhone and iPad later this year. That said, an analysis by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners shows that this is actually a logical next step for Apple users. CIRP analyzed consumer behavior for subscription-related services, including phone purchase financing and trade-in rates, and the use of Apple services and apps. Based on this analysis, CIRP finds iPhone owners use these services frequently enough, meaning that Apple has a large base of users that could adopt an iPhone subscription service....
The budget of X-Men: Dark Phoenix is rumored to sit at around $200 million as a result of reshoots. The tentpole X-Men film was originally scheduled to release on November 2, 2018, but it was pushed back to 2019. It had proved difficult for Fox to reunite the cast for additional photography in time for the November release, and there had long been rumors that director Simon Kinberg wanted a later release date....
Darren Aronofsky’s thriller mother! (starring Jennifer Lawrence) is now hitting theaters sooner than expected - a month sooner in fact. Paramount Pictures has confirmed that mother! will be hitting theaters on September 15th this year, rather than its previously-scheduled October 13th launch date. This means mother! will be going up against the likes of Marc Forster’s All I See Is You (starring Blake Lively and Jason Clarke), Michael Cuesta’s American Assassin (starring Dylan O’Brien and Michael Keaton), Albert Hughes’ Alpha (starring Kodi Smith-McPhee), and, Kate and Luara Mulleavy’s Woodshock (starring Kirsten Dunst) at the box office, during its opening weekend....
Ray Fisher also wants Justice League’s Snyder Cut to be released. Following his brief appearance in 2016’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Fisher officially debuted in Warner Bros. and DC’s ensemble flick directed by Zack Snyder as Victor Stone/Cyborg. The project was supposed to solidify the studio’s plans for an interconnected superhero franchise; sadly, it performed poorly critically and at the box office, causing them to rethink their strategy. Marred by a few controversies, one of its most talked about mishaps is the director switch between Snyder and Joss Whedon, changing much of the film’s original narrative....
A brand new trailer for Deadpool 2 has arrived, but a mystery remains about the identity of Julian Dennison’s character, who is being hunted down by time-travelling cyborg Cable (Josh Brolin). Dennison didn’t get much screen time in the first trailer, but we did learn that he and Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) are imprisoned together in a facility for containing mutants, and that Cable breaks into the place and then later attacks a prison transport....
Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have debunked a popular fan theory about Shioli Kutsuna’s character, Yukio, which suggests that she’s actually the X-Men hero Surge. Instead, they’ve pointed to a classic Japanese assassin created by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller as the inspiration for Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend. The tone and style of Deadpool 2 may be comic-book-accurate with regards to specific characters, but not all of its heroes are....
The X-Men movies might be up in the air with the Disney/Fox merger going through, but while the core series that just culminated in the predictably disappointing Dark Phoenix will be ultimately getting rebooted, Disney is reportedly happy with the Deadpool movies the way they are. This means that we’ll still get to see the promised threequel starring Ryan Reynolds’ delightfully faithful big-screen take on the Merc with a Mouth....

A new piece of fan artwork shows what Mewtwo could look like in the upcoming film Detective Pikachu. Pokémon has been around since the 1990s in the form of video games, card games, TV shows, and movies, but this year marks the release of the first ever live-action Pokémon movie. Video game developer Quantic Dream, and its lead auteur David Cage, has definitely produced some divisive and even derided games, but it’s hard to deny that the studio has a unique vision. With an emphasis on (occasionally very weird) interactive storytelling and cutting-edge motion capture, Quantic Dream’s previous titles include mystery drama games like Heavy Rain and Indigo Prophecy, and 2013’s supernatural/sci-fi game Beyond: Two Souls, which featured Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe in mo-cap roles....
