Dark Phoenix is projected to be a bigger bomb than the 2015 Fantastic Four reboot. Fox’s run of X-Men movies came to an underwhelming conclusion earlier this summer, when Dark Phoenix received widely negative reviews and struggled mightily at the box office. The film earned just $33 million domestically in its opening weekend, which was a new all-time low for the franchise. A couple of weeks later, Dark Phoenix was pulled from half its theaters to make room for the Avengers: Endgame re-release....

Sony Bend isn’t quite ready to give out full details on when their ambitious action title Days Gone is coming out, but they were willing to offer up some information when asked. Screen Rant recently talked to Studio Director Chris Reese, who revealed that an announcement regarding the release date would be coming “very soon.” That’s a good sign for the development of the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive. Days Gone immediately became one of PlayStation’s marquee titles when it was revealed way back at E3 2016....

David Leitch is hoping that he’ll get to continue working on his vision for the Deadpool franchise in the MCU. Boarding the Ryan Reynolds-led superhero franchise after the original film’s helmer, Tim Miller, exited the sequel due to creative differences, Leitch expanded the title character’s world with the addition of Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz). Doom Patrol, the latest live-action TV series set in the DC Universe, might’ve found its main villain. Doom Patrol is one of several TV series that DC Comics and Warners Bros. are planning to launch on DC Universe. The aspect that sets Doom Patrol apart from other DC Universe series like Swamp Thing and Young Justice: Outsiders is that it’s a spinoff. Doom Patrol will be set up in the first season of and exist in the same universe as the somewhat controversial Titans....

Deadpool 2 reshoots will supposedly add more Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beets), squashing rumors that the additional photography was due to the film getting bad reviews after test screenings. Helmed by a new director in David Leitch following the exit of Tim Miller, the film promises to bring in a bigger spectacle compared to its predecessor. Early last month, Brolin announced that he was coming back on set for Deadpool 2 reshoots....

One of the biggest comic events of the early 90s was The Death of Superman, which saw the Man of Steel fall at the hands of Doomsday. Superman #75 sold out multiple printings and reshaped the DCU, leading to Reign of the Supermen event that teased out the return of Kal-El with four potential candidates. The story was eventually adapted as an animated film called Superman: Doomsday in 2007, but it was highly condensed in order to fit the plot within the film’s short runtime....

Disney has confirmed the start of production on the Artemis Fowl movie. Written by Irish author Eoin Colfer, the Artemis Fowl books tell the story of a filthy rich and absurdly intelligent young boy who discovers a hidden world of magic, trolls and flatulent dwarfs and, naturally, seeks to make a profit from it. Aimed at a younger audience but enjoyed by all ages, the Artemis Fowl series mixes fantasy themes with light-hearted espionage action and have proved highly popular, spawning a total of eight novels....

New reports suggest that Disney will spend up to $500 million on programming for its upcoming streaming service, Disney Plus. Details on the marketing and development plans for the service have recently been coming to light, with the years-in-the-making Disney/Fox acquisition nearly a done deal. Despite legislative and shareholder concerns similar to the ones that came out of the AT&T/Time Warner merger, and rival bids from Comcast, the Disney/Fox deal is expected to be completed this March....

Division 2 launched its latest update Warlords of New York and with it comes big changes to loot and more importantly, the Recalibration Station. Previous to the update, if a piece of equipment had a great stat on it, it would have to be destroyed completely to get the upgrade. Agents also had no idea what a max roll would be for different pieces. That’s all changed and navigating the changes is easy as pie....
