Deadpool’s X-Force bio as seen in the Deadpool 2 Super Duper Cut that dropped for digital download yesterday includes shots at both U.S. President Donald Trump and Professor X. The extended cut of one of the highest-grossing R-rated action films of all time hasn’t disappointed when it comes to extras, alt-scenes and Easter eggs, and it’s only been available for broad consumption for a single day. This version of the Deadpool sequel first screened at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con after being hotly anticipated in the months following the film’s theatrical release....

A California man has pled guilty to four felonies after breaking into “thousands of iCloud accounts” in an attempt to steal and share nude images of women, according to a new report from the Los Angeles Times. The man admitted to impersonating Apple customer support representatives, tricking them into providing him with their Apple ID login information. According to federal authorities, court documents, and an FBI investigation, 40-year-old Hao Kuo Chi gained access to photos and videos of at least 306 victims and built a collection of 620,000 photos and 9,000 videos, which he then hosted on his Dropbox account....

The first trailer for Darren Aronofsky’s mother! has arrived. The dark thriller is set to arrive in theaters next month, having had its release date moved up by Paramount from October to September. Mother! stars Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem as a couple who find their relationship seriously tested with the arrival of uninvited guests at their home, who cause untold disruption to their quiet existence. Rumored episode titles for Titans suggest the live-action DC TV series will include another Robin: Jason Todd. We know very little about the plot or premiere date of Titans, but casing updates have been coming in consistently over the past few months. Alongside the core team, we’ve heard rumors of all sorts of villains who may be involved, most excitingly that Ra’s al Ghul may come to Titans. But as production has continued and the show gets closer to debuting on DC’s in-development streaming service, it’s becoming clear the show will be packed with comic book characters....

As details continue to unfold surrounding the Harvey Weinstein scandal, Channing Tatum has pulled his sole movie with the film exec’s former studio, The Weinstein Company. The news comes on the heels of a series of sexual assault allegations waged against the disgraced mogul. Over the course of the last few weeks, more than 50 women have come forward with accusations of harassment and abuse, including Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Rose McGowan, and Lupita Nyong’o, among others....

Google this week announced the beta release of Chrome 94, the next update to Google’s desktop web browser. In addition to general improvements, the update also adds support for the new WebGPU API, which comes to replace WebGL and can even access Apple’s Metal API. As described by Google in a blog post, WebGPU is a new, more advanced graphics API for the web that is able to access GPU hardware, resulting in better performance for rendering interfaces in websites and web apps....
