Hendricks may not have seen Bad Santa when it came out in 2003, but she quickly learned what this film was going to entail. A nasty piece of Mac malware is being actively used in the wild to capture personal data from Macs. Security researchers say that CloudMensis spyware can allow an attacker to download files, capture keystrokes, take screengrabs, and more. Cybersecurity firm ESET says that the spyware has been in active use since February, and appears to be targeting specific individuals … Tom’s Guide reports. While it’s common for malware to “phone home” to receive commands and download additional malware components, this usually means connecting to a private server run by the attacker....
Damon Lindelof revealed his motives for making the new TV adaptation of Watchmen. The creator of Lost and The Leftovers wants to honor its writer, and he thinks that we need more “dangerous shows.” He also wants to make it very clear that we shouldn’t trust people who wear masks. It was back in June of this year when it was first announced that Lindelof was working with HBO to develop a TV version of the seminal Alan Moore graphic novel....
‘Asylum’ - the most recent episode of Titans - seems to be trolling those Dick Grayson fans who are anxious to see him take up the mantle of Nightwing. This is a foregone conclusion, given that the show is mirroring the classic New Teen Titans comics where the young acrobat eventually retired as Robin to make a name for himself as a hero outside of Batman’s shadow. Nevertheless, the slow-boiling pace of the series has fans itching Dick Grayson to become Nightwing sooner rather than later....
Fox has shifted the release date for Kenneth Branagh’s Murder on the Orient Express sequel, Death on the Nile, back to 2020. Branagh revived Agatha Christie’s world-famous detective character Hercule Poirot on the big screen with last year’s Orient Express adaption, a film that he both directed and starred in as Monsieur Poirot himself. The movie was quick to became a box office success (in spite of mixed reviews) and Fox wasted little time before green-lighting a sequel that once again has Branagh both calling the shots and headlining as Christie’s iconic Belgian sleuth....
Although it’s what most fans wanted to see, Diablo 4 was not announced at BlizzCon 2018, with mobile spinoff Diablo Immortal instead sitting as the major Diablo announcement at the event. The reaction was not positive, with fans dismayed that an event for Blizzard’s most devoted was seen as the best place to unveil a game for a platform that has often failed to hit the mark. Perhaps the most surprising thing about this disaster however, is that Blizzard actually made a video to announce a new Diablo game, but did not want to reveal it at the event....
FX’s short-lived ad-free streaming service FX Plus is getting shut down by Disney, following the Mouse House’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox’s various assets. The closure of the streaming service puts a question as to whether or not the cable network’s acclaimed series will be folded into Disney Plus when it launches later in 2019. It’s not the first casualty to result from Disney’s efforts to obtain Fox assets, but it does hint at how FX Networks will operate under the Disney umbrella moving forward....
Marvel’s Doctor Strange will introduce Stephen Vincent Strange - the brilliant surgeon who, after a crippling accident, ends up training in the mystical arts - to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch playing the one and future Sorcerer Supreme in the film. Other noteworthy cast members include Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo and Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, along with Rachel McAdams (Spotlight) and Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal) in currently undisclosed roles....

Director Gavin O’Connor’s The Has-Been, starring Ben Affleck, is aiming to begin production this fall. The two previously collaborated on the 2016 crime drama The Accountant, which despite its lukewarm critical reception earned $155.1 million worldwide against a $44 million budget. A sequel to that film is currently in development, but before then, Affleck and O’Connor have their sights set on a different project. Back in June, it was reported the two could reunite on the sports drama The Has-Been, which features Affleck as a former basketball star Jack Cunningham, who succumbs to substance abuse....

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 offers 10 different approaches to the action with its diverse squad of Specialist Operatives. Effective Specialist selection can make or break a round, and while they can be swapped between deaths in many of the game’s core modes, picking the right one and sticking with them ensures that no ability and equipment charges are misspent. The game does offer up a Specialists HQ option from the main menu, which provides constructed scenarios and objectives for all ten characters, pitted against AI-controlled enemies....
Mission: Impossible - Fallout cinematographer Rob Hardy has reportedly joined the crew for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow. The solo movie for Scarlett Johansson is a long time coming and will be the second female-led solo film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
