When Deadpool premiered on February 12, 2016, it changed conventional comic book movie wisdom. It proved a hard-R rated superhero movie could perform just as well as a PG-13 crowd pleaser. We’re not just talking about Wade Wilson, here. There’s another character who, despite a relatively small role, managed to make a big impression....

Bryan Singer could reportedly make over $40 million from Bohemian Rhapsody, despite being fired as the film’s director with two weeks left of shooting. The biographical film charting the rise of the rock band Queen and its charismatic lead singer Freddie Mercury has made over $800 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing musical biopic of all time. Originally announced by Fox in 2010 with founding Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor heavily involved, the film that would become Bohemian Rhapsody was originally set to star Sacha Baron Cohen as Mercury, but Cohen finally bowed out due to creative differences....

While early iterations of the Call of Duty series have taken place in historical or modern settings, the most recent chapters have progressed into the territory of near-future science fiction. Now Infinity Ward is going full space opera with the upcoming Infinite Warfare. With interplanetary missions, robot sidekicks, and starship battles, this promises to be a unique chapter for Call of Duty, though perhaps not video games in general. It was previously revealed that everyone’s favorite Lord Commander, Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) would be lending his voice and mo-cap performance in the the role of Infinite Warfare’s villain....

Stefano Sollima appears to be a big fan of Tom Hardy and Chris Pine’s work, possibly putting them in contention for Call of Duty. In order to draw a significant amount of interest from audiences, there’s several factors that can help put a movie over the top. One of the biggest is using an existing and popular IP to help the project come in with an established fan base. Studios have been trying to use video games to do just that for years, and Call of Duty could now be getting off the ground with Sollima reported to be in talks....

Easily one of the most anticipated films of 2016, the Man of Steel follow-up is seen as the true launching pad for the burgeoning DC Extended Universe. After years of hoping for DC’s collected superheroes to join forces on the big screen, longtime fans are finally getting that wish fulfilled. Software company Opera today announced that it is bringing its Crypto Browser Project to iOS. The browser, which is already available for Mac, Windows, and Android, provides “user-friendly” access to Web3 services and even has a built-in crypto wallet. As highlighted by Opera, the Web3 standard – which consists of a new iteration of the web based on blockchain technology – has been growing considerably in recent years. This has led the company to invest in a dedicated web browser for this new online world, especially with more and more regular users becoming interested in cryptocurrencies and other decentralized platforms....

Diane Guerrero joins the cast of DC Universe’s Doom Patrol TV series in the role of Crazy Jane. A new leaked photo from the set of DC’s Titans TV show offers viewers what is possibly a first look at the series’ Beast Boy and Raven. In the candid image, a green-haired Ryan Potter, who portrays Beast Boy, and a purple-haired Teagan Croft, who portrays Raven, are seen walking around the set between takes of the upcoming television show. The series comes from Geoff Johns, who isn’t just a writer, but also the President and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics....

Their track record looks to be improving, however, as Legion is being hailed as one of TV’s most audacious achievements and Logan is poised to elevate the superhero film to an art form.
