A new Justice League promotion reveals Cyborg’s (Ray Fisher) altered origin story for Warner Bros.’ DC cinematic universe (unofficially known as the DC Extended Universe). Victor Stone, aka Cyborg, was created by comic book writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez, and he made his debut appearance in 1980 as one of the founding members of the Teen Titans. However, ever since the New 52 universe launched, Cyborg was repurposed as one of the founding members of the Justice League - but that’s not the only change to his origin story....

Disney has officially confirmed the start of production on director Tim Burton’s live-action Dumbo movie. It was Burton’s own live-action Alice in Wonderland adaptation (which was released in 2010) that kicked off the current trend of the Mouse House re-making its animated classics in live-action. Brie Larson and filmmaker Charlie Kaufman are joining forces on the movie I’m Thinking of Ending Things for Netflix. Larson will be starring in the film (itself, based on the 2016 novel by Iain Reid), with Kaufman writing the script in addition to directing. I’m Thinking of Ending Things (the book) follows a man and his girlfriend on a road trip to meet the former’s parents at their secluded farm. However, one thing leads to another and the girlfriend ends up being stranded at a deserted high school, left to wander its halls as she begins to deteriorate psychologically and wonders if she has any chance of escaping… or if she should just go ahead and end things before she gets any worse....
