Netflix has been holding an event today, where they have been making a variety of announcements about content coming to the popular streaming service in coming years. In the subsequent press release there was a line reading that among those projects is a Castlevania TV series. Part 1 of the Castlevania TV show’s first season will be arriving this year, indicating that similar to other Netflix series like The Crown, Castlevania has been automatically greenlit for at least two seasons (or a first season to be released in two separate chunks)....

Ex-stuntman and John Wick director Chad Stahelski has been tapped to direct a film adaptation of Sandman Slim, the much-acclaimed fantasy book series by bestselling author Richard Kadrey. Among the many projects that the action-focused filmmaker has been linked to, this could well see him launching another franchise based around a revenge-driven character, but with the added spicy ingredient of supernatural violence. Stahelski first made his mark as a stunt performer and coordinator in the likes of The Matrix and The Crow....

Star Trek: Discovery’s Klingon costumes and props are currently on display at Comic-Con in San Diego. Discovery is the first original series to appear on the CBS All Access digital streaming platform and has been making waves since casting confirmations were released. From complaints about the ship’s design, to Bryan Fuller stepping down as showrunner, and various delays that pushed the premiere date back to the fall of 2017, Discovery has already been through the ringer....

Chris Pine doubts he’ll return as Steve Trevor for Wonder Woman 3. The actor made his debut in the DC Extended Universe during the original Wonder Woman film, where he forged a strong friendship and romance with Diana Prince. Their chemistry was a key reason why the movie worked as well as it did, making Trevor’s death at the end all the more tragic. Though it looked like Pine’s time with the franchise would be short-lived, many were pleasantly surprised to see him come back for sequel Wonder Woman 1984, which is set to premiere in June 2020....

Apple recently released macOS Monterey 12.2 beta, and while the update isn’t a big one, it does come with a Music app that has been rewritten with native technology instead of web content. Meanwhile, the same old iTunes that was discontinued on the Mac years ago is still available on Windows – and it’s past time for Apple to replace it with something better. iTunes is quite an old software as it was introduced in 2001, the same year Apple released the first iPod....

The final Bumblebee trailer has dropped online, ahead of the film’s release in theaters later this week. While it’s the sixth live-action Transformers movie overall, Bumblebee is the first directed by someone other than Michael Bay. A new Japanese poster for Captain Marvel offers subtle hints at the film’s plot. The poster features a new tagline for the movie, one with no comic book precedent that nevertheless aligns well with the first trailer. THR reports that Comcast will now provide Netflix subscriptions bundled with their Xfinity X1 packages - both old and new. Comcast conceded to Netflix’s unparalleled success, saying that the streaming giant provides one of the “most popular on-demand services” out there right now, making it an “important supplement” to their cable package....

Once Upon a Deadpool, the PG-13 edit of the R-rated Deadpool 2, will be theatrically released in China. The new version of the blockbuster film hit U.S. theaters over the holiday season, playing up its gimmicky storytelling device in a plethora of marketing materials. In the new version, Deadpool recreates The Princess Bride by holding a grown-up Fred Savage against his will, reading the story of Deadpool 2. While many agreed the new segments featuring Wade Wilson and Savage were entertaining and illustrated how Deadpool could work in a PG-13 context, the overall Once Upon a Deadpool project received mixed reviews since it played like a TV edit of the original at times....
