Disney is banning the Los Angeles Times from attending advanced screenings of their movies. As a southern California newspaper, in addition to publishing film criticism, the Times frequently covers Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure, as well as how both parks affect the city of Anaheim. And in September, they published an article that painted Disney in a bad light, and the Mouse House challenged their outlook. After a month-long investigation, CBS has fired CEO Leslie Moonves for cause, meaning he will not receive his $120 million severance package. In July, it was reported that Moonves had been accused of sexual harassment by six different women, triggering an investigation by CBS. A further round of allegations forced Moonves to step down as CEO, a position he held since 2003. In his capacity as CEO and chairman at CBS, Moonves had a hand in many of the network’s biggest hits, including 60 Minutes and The Big Bang Theory....

Disney have released the teaser trailer for their live-action Dumbo movie. First released in 1941, the animated Dumbo tells the story of the baby elephant with enlarged ears who, with the help of his friend, Timothy Mouse, learns to fly. Dumbo is Disney’s shortest animated movie, at just 64 minutes, but the story has been expanded upon in the new live-action version, set to be released in March, 2019. Directed by Tim Burton, from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, Dumbo celebrates differences and focuses on the themes of family and dreams coming true; values that are inherent to the house of mouse....

Captain America: Civil War is now in theaters and nearly a year ago we visited the production at Pinewood Atlanta Studios. Needless to say, it was a very different climate for the Marvel Cinematic Universe then.
