The popular iPhone photography app Camera+ 2 is getting a major update today. Improvements include an all-new editor that’s powered by machine learning for a faster and more intuitive experience. There’s also a new UltraRes 48 megapixel upscaling feature and a shift to a subscription model for new features. Developer LateNiteSoft detailed all the changes with Camera+2 version 22 in a blog post today. Marshall is an upcoming biopic from Open Road that stars Chadwick Boseman (Marvel’s Black Panther), as iconic supreme court justice Thurgood Marshall supported by Josh Gad (Frozen, Angry Birds), as lawyer Sam Friedman. The film is based on the historic 1941 case the eponymous Marshall was involved in where he defended a black chauffeur against his rich, socialite employer who had accused him of sexual assault and attempted murder. In December, a court dismissed a lawsuit from BlueMail developer Blix that claimed Apple engaged in monopoly-like behavior in favoring its own apps over third-party competitors, and that Sign in with Apple infringed upon its patent. A federal judge in Delaware has now granted Apple’s motion to dismiss Blix’s antitrust claims for the second time. Blix was one of the founding members of the Coalition for App Fairness, set up to fight the 30% cut Apple took from the App Store....

Blumhouse Pictures and Damon Lindelof’s action thriller The Hunt has received a release date from Universal. Lindelof became one of the hottest names in Hollywood off his tenure as showrunner on the hit TV series Lost. Big time screenwriting gigs followed, including the task of penning Prometheus for director Ridley Scott. Lindelof also co-wrote the script for Star Trek Into Darkness, the less-than-beloved second entry in the Star Trek reboot series....

Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is in talks to helm a remake of Bruce Lee’s iconic martial arts film Enter the Dragon. Released in 1973, Enter the Dragon solidified Lee’s reputation as one of the great martial arts stars of all-time. Tragically, Lee passed away from a cerebral edema just six days before the film’s release. Years later, Lee’s son Brandon would die tragically on the set of The Crow, leading to talk of a Lee family curse....

Lee passed away about a week ago, and the world has been mourning his loss in several different ways. In a surprise announcement, Blumhouse Productions reveals it’s doing a remake of Black Christmas that will be released just in time for the holidays. Executive producer Steven Spielberg came up with the concept for Travis Knight’s Bumblebee, the latest live-action Transformers film, and the sixth entry in the franchise overall. The film is an ’80s-set prequel that focuses on the titular Autobot, Bumblebee, and though it hasn’t been released worldwide yet, early screenings have taken place at select theaters, and the film has been receiving critical acclaim. Taking place in 1987, Bumblebee is an origin story for the titular character, a battle-scarred Autobot who has found refuge in a California junkyard, only to be discovered by a teenage girl named Charlie (Hailee Steinfeld)....

For many decades, the horror - and sci-fi, for that matter - anthology genres thrived on TV, dating back to classics like the original The Twilight Zone, and The Outer Limits. This genre anthology boom continued throughout the ’70s, ’80s, and most of the ’90s, with shows like Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside, and Night Gallery earning loyal followers. Oddly enough, the anthology genre as a whole seemed to crater once the new millennium rolled around, with series that existed to tell viewers a new short story every week becoming basically nonexistent....
