Gamers anxious to get their hands on BioWare’s Anthem are in for a little good news: The developer’s current plans for a release place it somewhere around March 2019. Although BioWare has been tight-lipped about Anthem and its story, it has teased potential players with a few trailers showing a world that looks similar to Guerilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn. However, in Anthem, players will encase themselves in large mecha suits that will allow them to navigate their environment, take on enemies and fly across a massive open world....

Freeform’s upcoming Marvel TV series, Cloak & Dagger, has finished filming on its first season. The show stars Aubrey Joseph as Tyrone Johnson and Olivia Holt as Tandy Bowden. Endowed with superpowers (Tyrone can teleport and access the dark dimension, while Tandy can create daggers of pure light and purge addictions), these teens are expected to form a romantic bond as well as taking down some New York drug dealers that experimented on them....

Crazy Rich Asians debuted in China this weekend, and promptly bombed at the box office. While the movie was a runaway hit in the U.S., grossing $173 million domestically, it has failed to translate that success abroad, earning only $64 million from international markets. The highest grossing rom-com of the year, Crazy Rich Asians, based on the book of the same name by Kevin Kwan, tells the story of a Chinese-American woman (Constance Wu) who travels with her boyfriend (Henry Golding) to Singapore, where she discovers she’s unwittingly been dating the heir to an incredibly wealthy family and one of Asia’s most eligible bachelors....

Disney Parks has shared a behind the scenes video of their new Guardians of the Galaxy-themed roller coaster. The coaster will be part of Future World in the Epcot park at Walt Disney World. Once completed, it will be one of the world’s longest indoor coasters. The addition was announced at the D23 Expo held in Tokyo back in February, and it looks like construction for the coaster is finally underway....

Haruo Nakajima - who many Godzilla fans may very well know as the original suit actor in the classic monster movie franchise - has passed away at the age of 88. Born January 1, 1929 in Yamagata, Japan, Nakajima established himself over the course of his career in the Japanese filmmaking industry as perhaps the best suit actor to ever work for the Toho film studio. Beginning with the original Godzilla film directed by Ishirō Honda from 1954, Nakajima went on to portray most of the kaiju monsters in the eponymous franchise....

The Television Critics Association has announced the nominees for the 2019 TCA Awards, with plenty of newcomers and returning favorites getting recognition. The list of nominees includes at least one big surprise in the form of Catherine O’Hara’s nomination for Individual Achievement in Comedy from the underrepresented Schitt’s Creek.
