Following the release of Blade Runner: The Final Cut on Blu-ray, it’s revealed that director Ridley Scott almost opened the movie in a very different way. Blade Runner is a sci-fi classic, but that hasn’t saved it from years of tweaking. In fact, there are currently eight different cuts of the film — ranging from the original U.S. theatrical cut to the Final Cut in 2007 — and it wasn’t until 1992 (ten years after the theatrical release) that Scott was finally able to release his own director’s cut....

Martin Freeman has confirmed that his Black Panther character Everett Ross will return in at least one more Marvel movie. In the comics, Everett Ross was introduced as a “fish-out-of-water” bureaucrat. He headed to Wakanda, and was stunned at what he saw. The MCU has reinvented Ross as a skilled diplomat and spy; Martin Freeman has happily described him as “the coolest man in the room.” Freeman’s performance in Black Panther was tremendous, and fans are eager to see Ross’s story continue....

Revered screenwriter James Ivory, who recently won an Oscar for his screenplay adaptation of Call Me By Your Name, has criticized the movie’s lack of full-frontal nudity and explicit sex. The film, directed by Luca Guadagnino, stars Timothée Chalamet as Elio, a teenager who falls in love with Oliver (Armie Hammer), a graduate student who comes to stay in his family’s Italian villa for the summer. The film received rave reviews last year, touring film festivals for many months before eventually going wide in theaters, and received four Oscar nominations in total....

A brand new poster has dropped for Creed II, the long-awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed and commercially successful 2015 hit (and continuation of the Rocky franchise), Creed, starring Michael B. Jordan as the titular boxer. Though the original was written and directed by Black Panther’s Ryan Coogler, he will serve merely as an executive producer this time around. A new report from WABetaInfo notes that the popular messaging platform, WhatsApp, is rolling out changes to its media visibility. The update, coming to its latest beta, is changing the way media from disappearing messages save onto your device. WhatsApp for iOS is now automatically turning off “Save to Camera Roll” for disappearing messages. Previously, if users saved an item from their disappearing messages, any visual media would appear in their photo library....
