One Destiny 2 fan has figured out the rate of fire for the new Tommy’s Matchbook weapon by timing it to the background music of the game’s latest Season of the Worthy trailer. This player went on to post his theory on Destiny 2’s Reddit page shortly after the trailer hit the internet yesterday, leading to much speculation and joking around among the game’s community. Said trailer showcases Destiny 2’s tenth DLC expansion pack, or “season” as the game calls them, which promises a wealth of new content for Bungie and Activision’s free-to-play, online multiplayer sci-fi FPS....

Discord is making it easier to share messages with others through its new feature, Text Chat in Voice Channels. This new tool is a Zoom-like text chat feature specifically for Discord voice channels. With this, users can drop a link, text, GIF, emoji, in the chat during their video calls. Non-community servers will have Text Chat in Voice Channels by default and community servers will have a period of time where they can opt in or disable the feature from going live....

After an extended development period, Disney’s Jungle Cruise is now pulling together its cast pretty quickly, with Breaking Bad alum Jesse Plemons being the latest actor to step aboard. According to reports, he will be playing a villain out to stop Dwayne Johnson’s Indiana Jones-type quest in this upcoming adventure film based on the theme park attraction. The film was originally inspired by the success of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, and was tapped to have Toy Story‘s Tom Hanks and Tim Allen star at one point....

Zack Snyder’s divisive 2009 Watchmen film has a major fan in Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson, who calls the film’s Ultimate Cut his favorite comic book movie of all time. Before Snyder’s polarizing DCEU films Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hit the big screen, he tackled an adaptation of Watchmen, a 1986 limited series by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Long considered one of the very best comic book stories of all time, turning Watchmen into a film was considered to be a fool’s errand; its thematic and structural complexities weren’t made for movies....

Disney Parks unveiled a sneak peek at the upcoming Toy Story Land that will be unveiled at the company’s Hollywood Studios park on June 30 of this year. The photos reveal a family-style roller coaster, kiddie rides, new merchandise, and costume characters that will be present in the park. All new attractions feature popular toys and characters from the beloved Pixar franchise. Disney has been busy revamping the company’s amusement parks around the world....

Update: Black Panther has made $1.078 billion as of Sunday, March 11. Marvel’s Black Panther has now crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. Directed by Ryan Coogler from a script by Coogler and screenwriter Joe Robert Cole, Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, aka Black Panther, and Michael B. Jordan as Erik Killmonger, with several others rounding out the supporting cast. The film spent 24 years stuck in development hell, but it seems every one of those years was well worth the wait....

Jeremy Irvine and Brian J. Smith have joined the cast of the Bourne spinoff series called Treadstone. The Bourne spinoff was ordered at USA Network back in August, but they didn’t give an exact date the show would premiere. The program will center on the CIA black ops program Operation Treadstone, while following different sleeper agents who “awaken” much like Jason Bourne did in The Bourne Identity. Treadstone will be written and executive produced by Tim King, who is known for his work on Heroes....

A possible sequel to supervillain horror movie Brightburn is being talked about, according to producer James Gunn. Released in May, the film received mixed reactions from both audiences and critics, but a worldwide box office haul of $31.3 million against a budget of only $6 million makes it a decent-sized financial success. The story of Brightburn was a riff on the origin of Superman, with a spaceship carrying an alien infant crash landing on a Kansas farm, and the baby subsequently being raised by a childless couple....

Brooklyn Nine-Nine has a cast of lovable, quirky and funny characters that we just love spending time with. One of them is the nervous, clumsy, and food-obsessed Detective Charles Boyle. Boyle’s most defining characteristic is his tendency to blurt out whatever comes to his mind, oftentimes not realizing how wrong it will sounds. And rarely does he figure it out on his own even once the words are out. Over the course of six seasons, we’ve heard tons of inappropriate Boylers that never cease to make us laugh....

The issue, this time at least, revolves around the game’s latest expansion The Curse of Osiris and the way that the game has dealt with access to certain content. Although the release of the new expansion should be a source of excitement, Curse of Osiris has been heavily criticized. The main point of contention is that with the release of The Curse of Osiris, Destiny 2 has now locked some of the content for players, particularly one of the end-game raids....

Comcast will license its streaming platform and hardware, Flex as well as Xumo, which it acquired in 2020. It will also sell XClass TVs at retail stores. Charter is bringing a $900 million investment to the table. The products Charter and Comcast create will feature loads of free ad-supported content. There will be more than 200 unique streaming channels as well as popular apps like Peacock. It’s not sure if Apple TV+ will be a featured app, but it’s likely we’ll see Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, and others on the platform....
